You realize 2 to 4 of those guys can go in the Top 10, right?

The two biggest needs we have right now is defensive anchor at center and a offensive spark plug and secondary ball handler that can play with Lillard. Pope doesn't solve either of those needs so I don't understand the value of drafting him.

Cavs, Bobcats, Rockets seem like the obvious bidders for Milsap. I'd love to have him on our roster if we can get him between 7-9 mil per year.

One of my dream scenarios is McCollum at #10, moving Freeland with cash+2nd rounders and signing Dalembert+Milsap, and JO for the min. We get our defensive anchor, dramatically improve bench scoring , and get our 2nd ball handler

I can't wait for the draft and free agency

I agree on not being a huge Pope fan. At best he is Kevin Martin with similar defense, I don't think he fits with us as a guy who can create enough of his own offense, although he would do well on a team like the Wolves who have a superb playmaker and need some floor spacers.

I am starting to think Portland should take a flier on Norvel Pelle with the 45th. 6"10 PF/C with a 7'2 wingspan, he was a top big man prospect in the 2011 class but his grades prevented him from playing in the NCAA. He looks pretty thin but if he bulked up and stayed out of trouble I think he might be able to become a solid big man in the nba, I think is ceiling is a poor mans Larry Sanders type player which is worth a 2nd round pick. Typical low risk/high potential pick late in the draft.

Portland's interest in Pope just means the Wolves will end up picking him at 9.

But Millsap fills those two voids better than KCP? okay

Just because that is a certain weakness of his doesn''t mean that's all he will pan out to be. Was LMA repping the same skills at 20?

That is pretty much my ideal(realistic) off-season right there.

As someone else said he doesn't fill a position of need or a specific hole that we currently have. He projects out to being a Nick Young type player but obviously won't be as good as Nick Young his first few years so he'd help us as much as Jeremy Lamb helped OKC this year IMO.

What? S you wanna draft based on need? Okay how about this...we need talent and KCP brings a whole lot of it. We need depth, KCP brings that too on a rookie deal.

How often are projections right? Westbrook was projected as a Barbosa..Lillard as George Hill.. and Wes as a Dantahy Jones type.

Also we are NOT OKC, we would've given Lamb way more mins than they did and IMO KCP is gonna be better More skills and better build/mentality.

In fact KCP has the potential to be a starter and makes moving We$--a good trade asset--that much easier.

I don't think kcp is a good fit. Screams another Nolan smith pick. This board reacts to these "rumors" and fall in love with a player because of said rumor. If kcp is our target at 10 I hope we trade the pick.

I don't see how other than they kind look a like facially. Also I have been high on KC-P for months so this rumor had little to do with that.

I don't want to draft on need but I'd like our pick to contribute in the next 2-3 years. IMO KCP will provide limited minutes behind Matthews and in 3 years when he's in his prime I see him as being a 7th man type guy.

There are two main things you usually want in a top 10 pick and that is 1. immediate help or 2. A ton of potential. KCP has neither of those.

well i guess we are gonna have to agree to disagree, because I think KC-P brings both of those things.

I think we should keep our 39th draft pick, I think someone is gonna fall from the mid first like last year with Barton and this draft is deep in the late first.

Dallas wants to trade the No. 13 pick. However, if they keep the pick, they'll likely target Michael Carter-Williams: http://tinyurl.com/kvdxaqs

Would be nice to package 2 of our second rounders for a mid 20's and pick up Dieng or Whithey. Then with our other second round pick take a flier on Jackie Carmichael:

Not sure with the 10th pick yet, but if Shabazz falls I would not mind picking him up.
