I don't see this Miami team doing that to this Spurs team. The 3 point shooting and Tony Parker's mini-renaissance makes this Spurs team much tougher to beat than last year's. Furthermore, this Miami team's big3 of James/Wade/Bosh doesn't have the bankable 60+ ppg that Harden/Westbrook/Durant was able to provide.

Asking this Heat team to win 3 straight is a bit of a tall order especially since 2 of those wins will have to come in S.A.

I think that's a bad move. LeBron should be trying to get himself going early, and Miller is a great spark off the bench. Dropping off Haslem really helps San Antonio's offense.

If this happens and they win get ready for one million media comparisons of Lebron to rookie Magic Johnson.

Magic helped eliminate Philadelphia by playing C after Kareem was injured. IIRC he had 42 points and 15 rebounds.

Ginobili handed Splitter 3 dunks and he got blocked or stripped on them all.

Duncan is struggling with the speed of the Heat.

Parker was great in the 1st half but tired in the 2nd..

Neal, Splitter, and Ginobili keep coughing up the ball.

So many turnovers... cut out half of those and the Spurs probably win. Too ugly to come back from.

It really looks that way.

I think the Spurs need him to "turn back the clock" in a couple games to win the series. I think if they win, Duncan retires and they let Manu go.

Yeah, Miami is so good about creating to's and then running the court and finishing. That's part of what's made Wade and Lebron great. When they do that, the Spurs show their age and look awfully slow. SA's to's are likely going to be the key stat in the series - at least from the standpoint that SA can't win it if they give up 20 points a game on to's.

If SA keeps the turnovers under 15, they have a great chance to win every game.

But the two games they lost, they coughed it up 16 and 18 times respectively.

As much as it hurts to say, it's not always the Spurs losing. Miami stepped up last night. Their big 3 finally scored 20 apiece, with great efficiency no less. When a team is able to do that, it's tough to counter.

MIA's big 3, much as I rooted against them, really stepped up.
Bosh with some nice D at the rim, LBJ and Wade with great off efficiency.
MIA's team D is phenomenal. It's like there are 6 guys on the court.

Interesting how Pops put Diaw on Wade which given how they were
playing him, made perfect sense. Step back, cut off drives, don't bite
on pump fakes. Diaw can handle that. Too bad for SAS that Wade was
hitting his jumpers and/or finishing on his cuts to the rim.

Sunday is now officially a must win for SAS.

Splitter was awful beginning with the TO to start the game. What's he thinking?
Not even slightly surprised Pop pulled him out real quick.
Agree with Fish, sad to see, Manu looks done. Ray Allen is playing WAY better
than Manu right now.

None of the narratives being told about the Finals ring true to me. The Spurs aren't too old. The Heat aren't choking.

Here's what I think: these are two very evenly matched teams. I don't think anyone out there is "shrinking from the moment" or choking or whatever other Official Narrative cliche you want to insert. I think the series is coming down to Xs and Os, making adjustments to what the other team is doing, and executing. Grit, determination, toughness -- all important factors, but I don't think either team has an advantage in those things. I think the Heat will ultimately win because of Lebron, but the Spurs are smart, tough, experienced, disciplined and extremely well coached.

These teams are very even, in my view. It's a great series to watch, even if most analysis of it is nonsense.

True. But the Spurs were right there at the beginning of the 4th despite all of that. They had plenty of chances but they literally gave the ball to MIA one time after another.

Its simple for San Antonio... rebound the ball and don't turn it over. De Colo and Patty Mills should be atleast given a look over Joseph and Ginobili shouldn't get more than 10 minutes either.
