Evidently you are to young to remember how killa Shard was in his youth. Not to mention in his 20 ppg seasons he was sharing the ball with Ray Allen. And let's not make it seem like GP was Stocktonlike or something. Gary's career averages are just 16 ppg and 7 assts. He may never reach the hall, but let's not act like he had a career like Tyrone Corbin or some other average nba small forward.

Definitely not too young, apparently you are too young o remember Dennis Rodman and Gary Payton. Payton is a top 10 PG of all time, and Rodman is the best rebounder ever. Stop being silly and comparing Rashard Lewis to Gary Payton and Dennis Rodman.

CHARLOTTE, NC—Bobcats owner Michael Jordan announced Wednesday that he has officially hired Patrick Ewing as the team’s assistant coach purely to watch the former New York Knicks center lose more. “I’m thrilled to add Patrick to the coaching staff, and I am very happy to once again be the person responsible for Patrick losing game after game after game,” said Jordan, adding that much like their heated rivalry in the 1990s, Jordan will have a front row seat to watch Ewing consistently fail on the basketball court. “I’m incredibly confident that with our roster of players, and under the tutelage of our head coach, Steve Clifford, Patrick will be frustrated, upset, and constantly question whether or not his team is good enough to reach the playoffs, let alone win an NBA Title. Putting him through that kind psychological torment again couldn’t excite me more.” Sources later confirmed Jordan was also in negotiations to bring on former Cleveland Cavaliers guard Craig Ehlo so that he could “make that guy’s life a living hell all over again too.”

I am not comparing those guys. I am comparing the numbers since someone said that Shard's numbers would keep him out of the Hall. Why has this gone on so long any way the original point was that the 09 Orlando team was not just Dwight and a bunch of scrubs.

Picking 7th wouldn't be disastrous but it would be close.

Can't blame him for being pissed. Kidd and Deron are buddy buddy so I guess the Nets think he can get the best out of Williams.

I'm not liking the Kidd move at all, very risky.

Patrick Ewing is a well respected and capable coach so I have no idea why he has been passed over so many times?

Even last year for us?

Don't love the hire for the Nets, but love the player-coach potential.

Nobody's happier than the Uptown Cabaret that Ewing got hired. +/- 1 game from this hire woooh ... resign Hendo.

WT: Patrick Ewing Believes Former NBA Big Men Don't Receive As Many Coaching Opportunities
http://basketball.realgm.com/wiretap/22 ... ortunities

Makes you wonder about smart guys like Robert Horry who also have talked about not being able to find a coaching job, while he should be exactly the type of guy teams should want to have on their staff.

By the way, we should change the thread title to something about Ewing teaching Biz. Someone come up with something catchy.

Something about Ewing being Biz's associate coach?

Seriously you are forgetting to add the defensive numbers to Payton and Rodman. The glove was one of the best on ball defenders of all time at the PG spot. Lewis is an average SF and should have no business in the Hall.
