Certain point where you walk away because the price is too much. We know what that is.

*Flip has given his clear offers to the Wizards, Bobcats, Magic & Cavs (maybe)and won't move off those lines.

*Flip has not walked away in total because 1 or more of teams above have not told Flip a definite "no".

A lot of people talking about a lot of things.

*Flip has spent a lot of time on the phone with more than 1 GM

Box of 4-5 players we'd be comfortable with. Some would fill immediate need so we don't have to address in FA Some bolster depth.

*Immediate need = Pope - Oladipo - Mclemore -McCollum

*Some Bolster Depth = Zeller - Len

There's not a franchise-changer in this draft. Very balanced draft.

* Come on somebody, do a deal with me!

Here I go, getting obsessed again...parsing every word.

Oladipo is intrigued by playing for Wolves?

INTRIGUED?

Would Oladipo let himself get intrigued if it were just a mere long shot of this marriage occurring?

I don't think so!!!

Flip was spilling out his plan to Oladipo on how dynamic a Oladipo & Rubio backcourt would be.

It's not a big deal that he's intrigued when our starting lineup has 4 great players and a big hole on the SG spot. I bet that every ambitious rookie SG in the draft would choose to play for us before any other team.

If we stay put, I guess i'll take KCP at 9 and either Adams or Muscala at 26, if they drop that far.

Muscala may be good, though my high school has never produced a real basketball player, we are due :)

That'd be a slide for Adams & a reach for Muscala based on how most mocks and reports.

First of all, looks like Adams won't make it past the mid-teens.

On Muscala, I personally would like that, but I don't see our team going that direction. I don't remember where I read it, but I remember reading that Flip doesn't see Adelman adding two rookies into the regular rotation.

I agree. While I was initially intrigued by the idea of adding Muscala, it woulds be very similar to the draftings of guys like Wayne Ellington and Lazar Hayward: late 1sts with a guaranteed two years for players who won't see much immediate playing time and don't provide much upside. In this year's draft, players that I believe fall into that category are guys like Reggie Bullock, Allen Crabbe, Jeff Withey, and Mike Muscala.

Instead, I would rather go after guys who may have more question marks, but also have more upside than your normal late 1st round prospects. Someone to develop either here or internationally. Players under this category include Lucas Nogueira, Ricky Ledo, or Mouhammadou Jaiteh.

BTW, all the talk during these Finals about the Spurs' shooting coach makes me wonder if Archie Goodwin would be a good fit there. He wouldn't be asked to contribute right away, and could be groomed to take over for Ginobili in a year or two.

Yeah, I'm officially on the bandwagon.

- he fills the biggest positional need.
he can D up the SGs straight away.
- his floor is higher than most, will be role player defensive specialist at absolute worst (barring injury).
- his work ethnic seems to be the best of all the guys, some chance to overachieve on his natural talent.
- he's an excellent cutter and finisher at the rim (think AK-47 at SG position).
- he's not dumb, but not overly smart either.
- he has the same first name as me.

Exactly. We have the biggest hole at SG of any team in the top ten of the draft and more upside in other positions. Oladipo would start in Minny from day one with the roster sitting as it is currently, he should be thrilled if we manage to get him.

Olapido...

Pfft... I want nothing to do with a smart, hard working defensive athletic player at a position we need.

Lets take Zeller.

Who you talking with?

There is literally no one advocating taking Zeller over Oladipo.
