Logo Rebrand (Everything Huskies/Raptors) Megathread

messing around with a tattoo-inspired look. Did a very quick bs version of what it might look like on fabric. I don't hate it but I may be alone. That's ok though, I'm used to it. *cries*

That looks pretty sick. I even like the font.

I'm kind of curious as to what a mockup of a bird-of-prey Raptor instead of dino-Raptor would look like. That might be a good compromise rebrand. Keep the name Raptors, but use a bird of prey instead of a dinosaur.

There's precedent for that type of re-brand. The Tampa Bay Devil Rays shortened their name to the Tampa Bay Rays and changed the logo from a devil ray fish to a sunbeam ray of light.

Keep the name, change the logo and association. Switch from dino-Raptor to bird-Raptor. You even get to keep your talon/claws. At least that's better than being furry puppy dogs.

hey so i know that everyone has their ideas, but i've started to take this new logo thing a bit more seriously and have been working on some new ideas the last couple of nights. This is my first version of what i think can be a cool update. Im not thrilled with how the raptor head came out, wish it were more fierce, but again, still just a work in progress. Let me know what you think, and if there are any ideas you think can help make it even better.

I really like that layout, not a fan of the dinosaur though. I think that layout with something else would look really good.

We're also not called the "Raptors Toronto"... Toronto should be before Raptors. It just looks dumb.

Just leave it the way it is!!! People are coming around to it and this includes players from the NBA. So what if its not the exact resemblance of an actual raptors. Its become part of the city. At the most tinker with the colour, maybe even tweaks to the symbol but DONT change the name!

Nobody has tried a 3rd approach. Instead of sticking with the dinosaur, or changing it to Huskies, you can simply keep the name and change the logo to a bird of prey. Make it a tough looking bird and distinguish it from the Hawks.

Well that's the problem: there are already so many teams with birds of prey names. Atlanta alone had three at one point.

I also like this one a lot. Yes, switch Raptors and Toronto, but I really like the rest. Updated, less cartoonish, yet holding on to the original.

I really like both of these. I like the fierce look from the Turok style head but I also like incorporating the original head.
