Jerome Jordan

Post#1 » by Grang33r » Mon Jun 17, 2013 2:26 am

Don't know much about him. And i can't even say with a straight face that i have ever even seen him play, even in highlights, but it does appear the Pacers are very much interested. This from a Jordan article i found on ESPNNY.com...

The Knicks aren't the only team interested in Jordan, who would likely come cheap for a one-year deal. Next week, he's taking part in a free-agent minicamp with the Spurs, followed by the Pacers and Mavericks. The Pacers, in fact, will suit up Jordan for their summer league team in Orlando.

A quick wikipedia search, shows he's a big dude (7'0, 253 pounds) and his playing resume tells me he's a project player. Anybody know anything about him?

Looks like he'll not only come in for a FA visit but also play with our summer league team in Orlando.

maybe he'll allow Plumlee to play four in the summer league. that'd be a good thing even if he then goes back to the Knicks.

saving a slot, I read that we were looking at a Greek point guard who is supposed to be an elite free agent. sounds like YesWeHaveCabbages all over again.

That would be one spot ahead of the Plumlee spot which is in Fort Wayne. I don't remember Edwards though other than the Presidential gigolo - or was that a long ago center? how about the Jameson Brewer spot - the wardrobe showcase?

He's just a very minimal player. He'd be behind Hibbert, Mahinmi, and Plumlee at the 5 spot. And he's only a 5. Plumlee is at least projected as a 4/5, if we ever get to see him play.

Why would be even interested in him? Do we need to pay guys to warm D-League benches?

You need extra centers for summer league and sometimes the beginning of training camp. Neither Roy nor Ian will be in Orlando. Miles will be but I hope he gets some PT at 4 as well as 5. Jordan will have to show something to earn a regular season even non-guaranteed contract.
