OKC would then be tradeing Monroe away in this offseason.
That offer ws way to rich to Harden and IMHO it still although harden has improved a ton.

Re: Pistons Hindsight: James Harden
We wouldnt have needed to include Monroe.
Prince, Knight, Singler, 2013 1st Top 5 protected for Harden
That's also a far better package than just Kevin Martin and Toronto's 12th overall
That's the trade we should have made
- instead of Bobcats (BG+1st) for unnecessary cap space in a year it doesnt matter
We would have been:
Stuckey / Harden / SF / Monroe / Drummond

Re: Pistons Hindsight: James Harden
Yeah a Harden/Monroe/Drum big 3 would have us set.
Harden is exactly what we need.
Oh well

OKC got a away with murder on that trade (if they get their draft picks right), Houston got what they needed too and were smart with cap money. Close to equal as it gets.
OP your original offer would have left us in 2000 Pistons mode and no one would want to sign with us other than whoever would sign with us now aka no Howard and Paul.

Monroe is over-hyped. Sell high before people across the league realize he can't defend a bit.

We couldn't trade out 2013 first rounder at the time.
