yea, that is not major league quality, the yanks seemed to have early momentum and he put them in a hole, time after time, the yanks are going to have to make a play for another starter until Hughes is healthy and clemens is in shape, wang and pettite are the only guys we seem to have that can go at least 6 or 7 and keep the yanks in the game, a low scoring game. Right now zambrano is looking tempting....

I think the Phil Hughes injury has hurt us the most... not the Damon, or Giambi injuries. Phil could have given us a solid 6 or 7 innings every outing... it's a shame.
how long will hughes be out, I heard he hurt his ankle..?

They don't necessarily need to win 10 games in a row to get back on track. You can't blame a team for losing when their starter goes 1 and a third innings and gives life to one of the worst offenses in the league.
Also, not having Doug is going to KILL us in the long run. LIttle things like Phelp's throw to second that Doug would most certainly have made are the things that will bury this team. Yes we all liked Phelps but certainly not as a starter but a bench player with power. Oh and Damon stinks.

great
How bad is that? or are the yankees just taking it real careful with him...
It's pretty bad. Guys have been put in casts before because of it. Combine the seriousness of the injury and the caution being taken with him, and you can add another 2 months to his comeback.

I don't, where is any phillips anyway?
BTW. would you guys package, clippard and Desalvo to the cubs for Zambrano?
If it gives NY any advantage to resign him after the season, sure as heck yeah.

would the cubs do that, eventhough carlos is a free agent, and will the yankees take a guy with his temper?
Considering how lifeless the Yankees have been for a long time, they can use just about anything to splash some life into their melquetoast existance.
