The refs don't hate the Spurs, they were told to make it close, and if they can, get a seventh game out of it. It's all about the money now with Stern. (sorry no proof, just pure speculation) :D

I was thinking about this last night, why it seems the Suns have never really been in the good graces of Stern. I thought that it might have come from 1987 when members of the team faced drug charges. It hurt the team, but it also hurt the league.

I don't like Miami, but what LeBron and Bosh did, was really force Stern's hand. Instead of picking the team that would either go, and/or win the title, Stern was forced to deal with them. Honestly, I was surprised that Stern gave a chip to Cuban, but he was still pissed that Miami changed his control.

So in short, the only way we can get to the finals again (even if Stern is gone or even dead) is finding good shooters. It's really hard to wave off multiple baskets. Now a days, what is seen as good defense, comes with a bit of fouling, so going the defensive route won't really help us.

Let's hope Hornacek knows this, which it seems he does if he wants to get back to running. I'm excited to see who he brings in for the coaching staff and how the younger guys respond. I also like that he wants to coach the summer league guys.

free throws free throws free throws... Spurs had them but couldn't close. And yup... that last no call was BS. Glad I am not emotionally invested either way. Had the points so cha-ching.

I guess my hopes that the Spurs win then TD and pops retire are still intact. Thats all this series means to me.

So H'cek wants to coach his youngsters in S-League? ... right on. This could be a squad of pre-schoolers by the time the season rolls around.

The refs also illegally let Duncan enter the game on the last possession. Joey Crawford needs to hang up the cleats (err sneakers). Hopefully Silver isn't a tool and actually admits there's something wrong with the officiating and takes action.

I'm kinda empty about this one. Don't like the Spurs, but the Heat aren't much better.

Gotta love superstars who continue work on their game. Lebron shot 40% from 3 during the reg season and playoffs and it turned out to be the difference.

I love how humble LeBron is after the game. If any of you watched all his interviews, its really hard to hate him.

He's easily the 2nd best player of all time. He passes Kobe with this win.

Thank you Heat!

I agree, Lebron knew his outside shot was his weakness and worked hard to improve it, those threes were the key between a championship and watching the Spurs celebrate in Miami.

Wouldn't put him in front of Kobe just yet, but he's awfully close.

LeBron is a more dominating player than Kobe has been during his prime and LeBron's contributed more for his team in multiple ways than Kobe. Kobe's the better scorer than LeBron but in terms of best player, its LeBron before Kobe now.

Watching Duncan's complete and utter sorrow will allow me to have the best sleep I've had in weeks.

He's definitely starting in my starting lineup for the hypothetical basketball game versus an alien race, with the fate of the human race hanging in the balance.

I have to feel sorry for the Spurs.

Yes, they have defeated us many times. Yes they are our arch rivals.

But I have nothing but respect for their organisation, doing it the right way. Finding talent through the draft and excellent scouting, and the absolute Basketball Genius which is Gregg Popovich.

And to be honest, I was a little bit sad for Duncan and Popovich not to win it this year.

Hey. I dont Hate the Spurs with my whole heart and Seoul.

I actually have great respect for Duncan, but watching Spurs lose in a heartbreaking way was priceless.

You thought Kobe was the 2nd best player of all time before this?

Maybe he was born in 1997?
