Why do some people refuse to see the truth ?
Why do they keep hoping for some impossible crap, like Dalembert giving a crap ?
Especially since it's something so stupid and in which they have virtually no investment.

I mean, keeping hope against all odds is understandable in some cases, but not now.
Dalembert can go f himself. Keep Birdman, maybe take a chance on Oden (if possible after signing Birdman), and it's all good. And who knows ? Maybe some valuable big will be bought out during the season.

Nba 82. I like your solution. What we need is a center who is comfortable with 20 minutes and athletic enough to play with us. That is all. Oden can do it and I think we can help him!!!!

Well, who decides that now is not the case to have hope ? who decides that it is better to have hope in Oden *****d up knees then in Sammy's attitude and approach to the game ? as I've said, I belive that if Pat decides to bring him after a talk, Pat knows that he will bring what is needed, that he will play his role and WON'T be a lazy bum.

And just to be clear, this is not instead of Birdman, I want and would love to see him back in the same role that he was in this season, I just think we need a solid starting center that allowes CB to play the PF position most of the time, this will only improve our team.
Please excuse my bad English, this is not my native language :)

Riley is not infallible.
I trust him, but I know mistakes happen.

I prefer Oden over Dalembert because Oden actually wants to play, he's just been injured. I don't think Dalembert wants to play. He'd be content collecting checks on the bench. And I want players with heart, players that are willing to sacrifice for winning. A bad apple like Dalembert could ruin the carefully crafted dish/dessert the Heat have assembled so far.

Is a sign and trade possible with Milwaukee?

Dalembert for Joel and a 2015 2nd round pick.

Then sign Oden for the min.

Can we not have both? Sign Oden for the minimum if possible and pursue Dalembert with the mini MLE. If we have guys like Curry, Howard, etc sitting on the bench through our title runs who never played, might as well take a chance on Oden if possible for the minimum. Its no different, and if not, its a little better due to the massive amounts of potential sitting there.

If we kept him wrapped in wool until the playoffs it could work.v would be a smart move for him. Heat are good at rehabbibg these type of players. Think of shaun Livingston.

If he survived the year and showed some flashes he could make a lot of money next year.

I want to see him have an Nba career.

Which is why we shouldn't hold our breath for Dalembert. He's already turned us down once and I have a feeling he could give a rat's ass about winning a chip.

Well it's not really the same. Dalembert will only command 2.5 mil not 10 million. At this stage in his career you'd think he wouldn't make the same mistake twice. I'm pretty sure he regrets taking more money considering he took more money last time and got stashed away on the bench on a crap team. Now he's got his money he should be looking for big minutes on a good team whilst it's there or he'll regret it when he finishes up.

Why do people think that teams are just going to roll over and take North Melbourne's terrible contracts for no reason? You do realise that Joel Anthony is a terrible player who earns almost 4 million this year. We will only be able to sign Daelmbert with the mini MLE, try resign Birdman and sign Oden for the vet min.

A Oden/Dalembert/Birdman center rotation is a strong one evem if Oden doesn't pan out.

In all seriousness..

"A perfect world"

We bring back Birdman and sign Oden.

Them + UD divide up 48 mins.

Repeat.

LeBron reups.

The following year.

Oden gets better...

Averages 10/9/2

Wade/Bosh took less money when they reupped so we sign Oden to a long term deal.

After winning a couple more championships..

LeBron is still the best in the world. Bosh has settled into the #2 spot on offense, with no worries of playing center. Wade is in a 6th man role, but it keeps him fresher and he plays great.

Oden starts showing why he was so valued out of college. Getting 15/11/3

Not 3, not 4, not 5, ...

Its nice to dream :D

Oden’s agent, Mike Conley, told FOX Sports Florida by phone Friday that the free-agent center remains very interested in signing with the Heat this summer and the feeling is mutual. Conley expects to talk with Heat president Pat Riley when free agency begins July 1 about the 7-foot Oden, the 2007 No. 1 draft pick who hasn’t played in the NBA since December 2009 due to knee problems.

“The Heat need some size, that’s not a secret,” Conley said. “Whether it’s in a backup role or whatever, he could help them. I know they’re interested in him and he’s interested in them.”

WD-going to monitor this, he'll have to resist the "cock block" offers from our competitors - make an offer July 1, 2013 - he takes it...done....

"The Cleveland Cavaliers are still considered the favorites to land Oden (he has been working out and taking classes at The Ohio State University). But the Heat would certainly have a role for him. There is a natural fit. And as a 25 year old, there are certain perks to living in South Beach."

Love the dream Sonny. Mine includes signing Oden who finally stays healthy fir a two year deal at the minimum. The big three reup with Wade and Lebron taking less since they make lots of ad dollars. The extra money is then split between Oden and Bogut who both play managed minutes at center.

Ultimate perfect dream scenario.............Oden turns out to be a 18-10 guy to further **** on other NBA fanbases and see 'em cry even more. My goodness, that would be gold.

If Riley gets Oden in the room for a sales pitch... I'll take those odds.
