Deng would be making 14.3 mil in his final year and Im sure hes gonna be looking for about the same in FA next year with also trying to max out Wall, Hell 2 the no.

Why get Deng when you can just get Otto if hes there unless the Wiz know something we dont know and there trying to get a legit SF cause the Cavs may get Otto if they can't get a legit SF in a trade themselves

The first decent NBA Draft trade rumble of the week involves an All-Star who's no stranger to the speculation game.

Sources close to the situation told ESPN.com that the Chicago Bulls, in their latest attempt to gauge the trade value of All-Star swingman Luol Deng, have had exploratory discussions with Washington about a deal that would land Deng with the Wizards and bring the No. 3 pick in Thursday's draft to the Bulls.

Seriously. If this happens (not saying it will), I am done with the Wizards. I'll watch basketball I guess. I just won't root for a team. I can't root for a team as a diehard if I'm not from that area.

Ernie will be the dumbest GM ever is sports if he does this trade.

The Bulls Board obviously is pulling for this to happen, Dont do it Ernie. The Bulls would getta steal knowing Deng could and just inserting Jimmy Butler to the 3 and they can pull another SG or something

I don't believe the rumor as I don't see it fitting from a number of angles (losing Okafor and degrading team shooting in a win now move? We're much better with Webster and Emeka than Deng IMO), but backbreaking is about right.

Very hard to root for the team if that deal went down.

I know there is reasonable cause to criticize EG but why does anyone
think he'd want to trade Okafor, one of our best players last year and
the 3rd overall pick for Deng? Porter figures to possibly be as good as Deng
by himself. I think the Wizards like Okafor and it would take something
a whole lot better than this to pry him loose from our roster.

the EG hate is making some folks here batcrap crazy.

I honestly believe that there is absolutely NO truth to this rumor. Unless the rumor is merely that the Bulls called the Wizards to gauge the value of Deng. That's believable. But there's no way we would ever even consider a trade like this. Even if Porter and Noel are gone by our pick. Even if we don't like any of the remaining options that much. This is just nonsensical. Deng is the type of player we want in Porter, but not at this stage of his career. His decline already started. This would be one of the worst trades ever.
