Do you think Atlanda would go for a Derozan for a Josh Smith sign and trade ? Even if we had to give up Ross and recieve maybe a pick back.

Then we could explore the market or free agency for a 3pt shooter on the wing to pair with Gay or off the bench.

IMO Josh Smith makes us a legit contender next year.... at least for a top 4 seed.

How about Bargnani for jordan and bledsoe?

I know the clippers NEED a scorer downlow, and more importantly, someone to knock down freethrows consistently. Bargnani can help them, atleast better than DJ in terms of those needs. He can also be a stretch 5 and knock down the 3. If we can get bledsoe as well, I think we should take it. Yes Jordan is paid 10mil/year but he is still young, and im sure he can provide some great highlights! The best part about this is we get rid of primo.

Let me know what you guys think!

PS. Off topic, but I would love for us to get Josh Smith, that would be unreal.

If that takes place I can see the bulls taking McLemore, oh man

I wonder if Wizards would rather trade Okafor and the 3rd for Gay. I don't see why they'd prefer Deng over Gay. Noel would be pretty darn good for the Raptors, since he plays similarly to Amir in some ways (so he'd fit right in without Val or others having to adapt much) and he'd probably not be game-ready for a half the season (from what I've heard), which facilitates a tank. Then, they can work on trading Derozan and Lowry for assets. Lowry I'd trade right away for a late lottery pick if possible and draft a point guard (Shroeder or McCollum, or maybe Carter-Williams. Derozan I'd use the season to showcase unless something decent was on the table. Maybe he'd just stay with the Raps, but I'd ship Lowry if possible.

I'd be down with something like this in a year:

McCollum/decent backup (Jose?)
Derozan/Ross
J. Parker/Fields
Noel/Amir/Acy
Val/Amir/Veteran C

If not Noel, then either McLemore or Oladipo would be worth Rudy in my books. Maybe Bennet, too.

Ugh...in a heartbeat.

Acy is nothing but a garbage time PF and we need a back up PG. We easily do this deal.

Lets Camby retire where he started, gives us a true shooter and defensive big.

One of the best trades I've seen on here in a while in terms of fit and being realistic.

Rudy Gay would be a wicked fit for the Wizards IMO, it actually makes them a pretty legit team next year.

No it doesn't, and the Wizards have no interest in Gay whatsoever. He's paid like a superstar despite mediocre production. The Raptors will keep that contract until the end of it, more than likely.

I can only take so many of your garbage posts. The Wizards did show significant interest in Rudy Gay when he was with Memphis. That likely hasn't changed, you have shown nothing to Indicate it has other than talking out of your ***.

Why do you keep coming onto our board anyways? I'm sure the Wizards board would be thrilled to have you stay there.

Why does it bother you so much to get feedback? Calm down.

And secondly, the Wizards never showed significant interest in Gay...it was just bunk. The original "rumor" involved Bradley Beal, and anyone who follows Wizards basketball knows that the Wizards consider Beal to be untouchable (they turned down James Harden for Beal for crying out loud). It was the equivalent of putting out a rumor involving Paul Pierce for Valeciunas...it's simply was never on the table.

I kind of like it myself... Camby can be a FA at the end of the season (TO). Could show Val a thing or two on how to be a top defensive big.

Novak expires with everyone else and is basically Bargs but can hit threes...

Just because I love writing spin ... 8-)

Bargnani being paired with Chandler allows him to work in the midrange to 3 pt line while Melo is ball dominant.. Drawing double teams, Bargnani will be open where he will have no problem hitting 15-18 footers the three or four times a game Melo doesn't shoot.

Defensively Bargnani is a decent man defender but horrible help... Chandler is an elite man and help defender covering most of Bargs glaring weakness's..'s.. (BC attempted to do the same). He has never played with such a big man and Melo is also a good man defender.

Bargs is capable of scoring 20 and quite likely will never be required to, but he can score... Which will make it tougher for opposing front courts to cover all three..

Anyone buyin'?

The Knicks can't trade their pick right now because Masai got them to give up their 2014 pick to Denver in the Melo deal. Could do a prearranged thing like the JO/Hibbert deal, although I don't think the Knicks take Bargs unless Amare is heading out.

Rapsobsessed7 wrote:Going with the above idea of brining in Amare...

To TOR: Amare Stoudamire + #36 (SAC)
To NYK: Andrea Bargnani + Chuck Hayes + Travis Outlaw
To SAC: Landry Fields + Aaron Gray + #24 (NYK)

Kyle Lowry / Myck Kabongo (#36)
Demar Derozan / Terrence Ross
Rudy Gay / SF
Amare Stoudamire / Quincy Acy
Jonas Val / Amir Johnson

If Toronto wants to go down that road then this is the most realistic trade I've seen in this thread (I've been looking in on it to gauge GSW player values). I have to believe SAC would be all over this deal since they need SF and center depth plus they get an upgraded pick. Bargs probably is a better fit next to Melo then Amare, NYK gets rid of that monster contract, Hayes gives them 5-15 mpg of hustle/toughness and they don't have to invest a multi year contract on a late 1st round pick that might never make their rotation but might make the rotation for a cellar dwelling team like the Kings.

On another note, GSW can't afford to deal Biedrins without getting a defensive/rebounding center in return since Ezeli will likely miss most of next season with a knee injury. Given that circumstance the best GSW would offer for Bargs is Jefferson and a top 59 protected pick. Asking the W's to give up an expiring and a first round pick to take on Bargs is a pipe dream.

As good a fit as any, sure. I don't know about your assessment of Melo's D, though... I'd say he's decent on PFs but he's playing SF in this scenario. But I think that this would have Melo guarded by a PF and Bargnani by a SF which obviously would not take a big out of the paint. Then again, I'd want Melo in the post, doesn't matter whether a 3 or 4 takes him so it could be nice.

Those guys are screwed for the cap, though, so I don't think they take on anything big without moving Amar'e (good luck).
