We could use shooting and he could fill third point guard role. Idk seems almost worth risk for a second rounder.

If it is true I agree it would be worth a shot.

I'd really like to get Aldridge in town. #4, the two picks we're owed, and salary relief.

Doubt that'd get it done, but man would he fit in perfectly here

If the McLemore rumors are true and he falls, I think it'd be something I really look at. Same if a guy like Bennett drops.

Something like #8 and some other incentive for their 2014 pick back

I'd happily do that. Detroit's about to make some noise in free agency so I don't think that '14 pick is going to be as great as people make it out to be.

Yeah, they're going to make noise by overpaying OJ Mayo or Brandon Jennings or something. None of the big names are going there.

I've already got this trade up on the Trade board. Houston wants a bit more value, but other than that, it looks fair to me:
Biz Gilwalker wrote:Charlotte out: #4, future 1st from Portland, Ben Gordon, Jeff Taylor
Charlotte in: Lamarcus Aldridge, Kendrick Perkins

Charlotte consolidates assets to get a legit #1 option who also fits very well with the current line-up.

Portland out: Lamarcus Aldridge, #39, #40
Portland in: #4, #12, future 1st returned from Charlotte, Thomas Robinson, Ben Gordon

Portland gets a major haul for their star, icluding young talent, several high picks, and salary relief.

Houston out: Thomas Robinson, Omer Asik
Houston in: #32, #39, #40, future Dallas 1st from OKC, Perry Jones III

Houston trades their excess salary heading into the offseason into three early 2nd rounders, a nice future pick, and one very cheap prospect, saving the Rockets almost $12M in cap space this summer.

Oklahoma City out: #12, #32, future 1st from Dallas, Perry Jones III, Kendrick Perkins
Oklahoma City in: Omer Asik, Jeff Taylor

Oklahoma City gives up assets to upgrade the center position and get a nice wing prospect in the process.

Yeah those four team trades are always so realistic.....

Detroit is treading water, they will be mediocre next year. Cheeks is not a good coach and they have lots of holes/ill fitting pieces to correct.

I don't get adding LMA here. If Portland thinks they should trade him b/c he'll be out of his prime in relation to the rest of the roster than he'll definitely be out of his prime with us b/c we have a much younger team.

I think the Blazers are tearing it down and rebuilding. We only have one year left of rebuilding and I don't think Aldridge damages the tank too much. A 2014-15 roster of Biz/Aldridge/MKG/Wiggins/Kemba with McBob, Mully, Taylor, Hendo, and Sessions on the bench would be awesome.

Aldridge destroys the tank. We put a top 5 PF at our weakest position. We would probably fight for a playoff spot with Aldridge..

Bobcats could make this work?

I think Spurs are in this trade

Spurs give: #28 pick
Rockets give: Thomas Robinson

Supposedly the Spurs won't be able to swing it without a third team involved.

What would you like more?

Portland pick for Robinson

or

4 for Williams and 9

These are two big rumors floating around. Which do you like more and why?

Both are entertaining deals, but I'd side with the "Portland pick for Robinson" because it would allow Charlotte to keep their own 4th overall pick with the chance to take Oladipo (or McLemore)

If we pulled Robinson in I might lean to McLemore with the 4 if he was available.

I don't know, I just like the idea of Oladipo being a secondary ballhandler for Kemba on the floor. I don't want to see another season of Kemba feeling like he has to bear the burden of being the only player on the floor that can create his own shot. That lead to a plethora of shot clock violations, NBA leading to exact

Let MKG be the second ball handler. He did a fair job with it at times this past year. If we add Robinson we clutter the lane more than we do now and even a guy who is mostly just a shooter on offense would be a huge help. I still have Oladipo as my better player and with our current PFs the better pick but if we go with a post offense PF I think we need the shooter more that the other player.

Neither but I'd rather trade 4 for Williams and 9.

Colin Hoggard ‏@ColinWFNZ 4m

John Hollinger loved MKG and he's now with the Grizzlies. MKG + Ben Gordon for Zach Randolph? Just immediate reaction (no, I don't like it)

Colin Hoggard ‏@ColinWFNZ 5m

Not in position to refute the rumor, but Cats moving MKG or Kemba would be most surprising. If it's true, however...

Colin Hoggard ‏@ColinWFNZ 9m

Origin of these MKG rumors?

anyone know what this is about?
