I tend to put off unpleasant things as long as possible so I too am inclined to defer the medicine of dumping the Green contract at a cost.

Maybe next summer the Simons will give Walsh and Pritchard a mulligan and eat the luxury tax on Green's salary if you are otherwise able to hammer out deals with West, George and Lance that keep the team below the tax.

Jimmer could and probably would still be a decent player in the future but he doesn't fit he style that Indiana plays. He'd be a liability on defense and he's also limited to being a perimeter guy, just like DJ was last season. We need someone that can do what George Hill does, someone that can penetrate, lengthy, and can hit outside shots.
