I tend to put off unpleasant things as long as possible so I too am inclined to defer the medicine of dumping the Green contract at a cost.

Maybe next summer the Simons will give Walsh and Pritchard a mulligan and eat the luxury tax on Green's salary if you are otherwise able to hammer out deals with West, George and Lance that keep the team below the tax.

Jimmer could and probably would still be a decent player in the future but he doesn't fit he style that Indiana plays. He'd be a liability on defense and he's also limited to being a perimeter guy, just like DJ was last season. We need someone that can do what George Hill does, someone that can penetrate, lengthy, and can hit outside shots.

If we lose a pick because of GGreen's puny contract then Walsh and Pritchard deserve 10 lashings apiece, down on monument circle. We should also add 10 for the drafting of Plumlee, and 5 more for overpaying Hill.

My revised offer for Fredette would be Green and Plumlee. Maybe Pritchard can sell him as a 1st.

Shouldn't Larry get the 10 lashings for Plumlee?
