#2 pick, Nicholson, and one of our future 1sts for MKG and Gerrald Henderson? Still trade AA to Clips for Bledsoe and start Bledsoe at pg Hark at 2, MKG at 3, Harris at 4, Vuc at 5

Henderson 1st off the bench

Why in the world would you want to move heaven and earth for a poor man's Harkless?

This is gonna affect any Bledsoe trade as doc is in charge now

I really don't think the Clips have that much leverage in any Bledsoe deal unless he is locked up affordably for a long time.

Possible. Doc supposedly wanted them to keep Bledsoe so maybe that is why the price went up.
Woj is the new Bucher. Shams is the new Woj. Espn is the new TMZ. The NBA is the new WWE.

@KBergCBS
Doc Rivers' compensation agreement sates that Celtics and Clippers can't exchange players until the end of the '13-'14 season, source says.

If true, then the only way KG ends up with LAC is via 3-team trade where KG is shipped to team x, then team x deals him to LAC; sorta how Rob constructed the whole Vucevic trade :D

I say we give them Moore and Afflalo for Bledsoe and Butler and move Butler to Cleveland or another taker.

rcklsscognition wrote:So Simmons and Ford are very concerned that McLemore is not mature enough to be successful in the NBA. Not like doing drugs immature, but just young, inexperienced, wide-eyed, unaware of what it takes to succeed, etc. They said he could bust if he goes to the wrong team. They didn't say what team was best, but isn't it Orlando? JV and Henny did a great job bringing our rookies into the fold this year. They preached patience and not putting the rookies in positions to fail. They built their confidence, got them a personal trainer that they practically lived with. They brought them along. Seems like a good fit.

I've always been into examining and highly valuing the character/mentality insight every year with draft prospects and FA's, but it almost feels like they're going overboard with this on Oladipo and McLemore and a few others. The thing with McLemore is his background history and his more normal maturity for his age than some of the higher maturity players at the same age. He still played a PF a lot when younger, he still played only 1 college season. Oladipo played 3 seasons already so there's a lot of water behind him not being an All star probably, but he also keeps improving and is pretty much as young as McLemore with a better motor.

The thing with McLemore is he has a ridiculously perfect skill set for a 2nd to 3rd option anyways, not a 1st option expectation and this helps alleviate many of his concerns a little bit, and his mentality and development curve still feels on the low end of where he could improve to if he has a team like the Magic bringing him along at a proper pace of development. I think of McLemore making a big jump in his 2nd-4th season window unlike some more NBA ready prospects. But I've said this before and I'll say it again, I also could see him hitting a high stride kind of quickly in a very J.J. like role for the Magic, quite easily. The rest is him getting 1-2 years older, settling into his NBA life and developing his skills very well along the way.

Remember the big boards and mocks right after the season ended. No games have been played since then.

BMP:Noel is like the opposite of Ford:Oladipo. Ford loves to rag on McLemore and he has been for quite awhile. Well it is true that it looks like McLemore's stock is dropping (and I'll admit I've been McLemore over Oladipo for awhile) I'm not sure it even matters because it's looking like CLE will pass on Noel. And Noel's been my #1 since about halfway through the College Bball season so I'll be very happy if we take him.

Ford on McLemore (@29:00) :

He can't really get to the rim, because he can't dribble. And a lot of the issues that he's faced at Kansas, that look like him being passive, were because defenses--...

Y'know, Tim Hardaway, Jr., I was talking to him because he had to guard both Ben McLemore and Oladipo -- had to gaurd Oladipo twice, Michigan played them twice, and they played against Kansas. And I asked him who he thought was the better player was between the two, he saw both up-close on the court -- Tim Hardaway, Jr. also has great basketball IQ, obviously, he knows what he's talking about. And he said Oladipo was so much tougher for him because you had to guard him everywhere on the floor. He was gonna sneak in and get an offensive rebound, he was gonna post up, he'll take the ball wherever he can go on the floor, and he moves great without the ball.

Ben, it was basically, what you had to do was make sure that you didn't give him room to shoot his jumpshot. Uh, and you didn't let him cut to the basket for an alley-oop. He's not going to beat you off the dribble.

More Ford on McLemore (@31:00)

Well, look. And this may be the biggest problem I have with McLemore, is that I'm a Kansas fan --I'm open about it-- and I watched every game that he played. I don't know that it's that tough when you have your coach begging you to take shots. When you have your coach in your ear, "You're the best player on the team. We need you. We need you to step up. Don't fade away." And with Ben, this is what I saw, maybe people can disagree with me on this. But what I saw with Ben was, in the first or second half, if his first couple of shots went in, then he was gonna have a great half. And if those first couple of shots went out, his confidence was gonna disappear and he was gonna disappear. And, y'know the great shooters --people compare him to Ray Allen-- y'know, Ray Allen can miss 10 shots in a row --and he's always been like this-- and he believes the eleventh shot is going in. Right? (Right.) And that, to me, is the big difference between someone like a McLemore--...

And look I really like him, because when you tell me... his shot is beautiful. It's absolutely beautiful, he has perfect form and rotation on his jumpshot. He's an elite athlete. And usually when you put those two great things together, you're talking about a guy who is a special player. But then what he lacks is that "it" factor. He doesn't have that Oladipo intensity. He doesn't have that drive. He doesn't have that killer instinct. He doesn't quite have the work ethic. You've got to be pushed a lot more by the coaches to do things. And that's what scares me with him. And I wonder, will he be Mike Miller?

Just watched Around The Horn & while they touched on the NBA Draft Wilbon said that news goin around now is Oladipo is 6'3" not the 6'5" originally thought. I don't know how his height can change since combine but that was what he said. Wasn't mentioned here wondering if anyone else heard this rumor but I'm all set w a 6'3 SG that isn't a pure shooter as #2 pick in the draft.

What the hell is Jordan doing? I know he didn't have the most spectacular rookie season but he's so young. I just don't get this if true. Maybe they want Porter and feel MKG would be redundant... i don't know.

I don't think Porter gets past Washington, does he? Personally I'd take him at 2 if I were Henny, he's the closest thing to a guaranteed NBA starter in this draft.

He'll probably never be an all star but could easily start and be a 17/8 guy at small forward. Pair him with Tobias and have some fun.

It's called taking off your shoes? The measured combine heights are readily available all over the web. This stinks of McLemore's representation trying to combat the bad press Ben's been getting recently.

Maybe he beat Jordan in a pickup game. With MJ's ego, that would probably be enough.

I thought BMac didn't have any representation yet...?
