I don't see any statistical evidence that McLemore gave up shooting if he was having a poor night. Some of the games he had the highest FGA were poor shooting nights. In his 12 highest FGA games, he averaged 48% from the field. In his 12 lowest FGA games, he averaged 50% from the field.

The rumor is that's LA's asking price. Doesn't mean thats what we offered.

That doesn't sound like a Henny deal to me. Maybe they think Otis is still running things.

Wasn't mentioned here wondering if anyone else heard this rumor but I'm all set w a 6'3 SG that isn't a pure shooter as #2 pick in the draft.

It's called taking off your shoes? The measured combine heights are readily available all over the web. This stinks of McLemore's representation trying to combat the bad press Ben's been getting recently.

I thought BMac didn't have any representation yet...?

He just signed an agent this morning, that Blackwell or Blackrock guy.

Hadn't heard that. I don't know if I've heard of Blackwell, but Most if not all agents are pretty much scum anyway if you ask me.

At least it ain't Fegan.

He was the guy that got into some trouble with recruiting and paying off a coach I think. So you'll hear a lot of negative press about him in the next few hours I expect. Stuff like, "this is why McLemore's stock is slipping."

Here's the original story:

Darius Cobb, Ben McLemore's former AAU coach, told USA Today that he accepted money intended to steer Ben McLemore to agent Rodney Blackstock. Cobb says he took two payments of about $5,000 and also accepted three paid trips to Los Angeles. He also alleged that one of McLemore's cousins accompanied him to Los Angeles.

The two big questions everyone has (or should have) are "is McLemore in trouble" and "is KU in trouble?" The answers are no and maybe.

First as to McLemore, Cobb says that McLemore had no knowledge that he accepted any money from Blackstock, and even more importantly McLemore is not an NCAA athlete anymore so there's nothing the NCAA can do to him.

Ah, got it.

Yep, someone is doing a heck of a job trying to get McLemore to slide. Some other player hoping to move up when he moves down, or some team with a late lottery pick hoping he slides to them? The media, as usual, seems to be willing to hop aboard.

In either case they're making a heck of an effort.

just got in from work and heard that too, i must be going insane. We're giving up the most when we have the better players not to mention an unprotected 1st rounder. Otis must be still hanging around somewhere, the only way this makes sense if Nicholson and the first rounder is off the table and a third team is involved

That doesn't make sense to me. You meant 12 highest FG attempts, not %, right?

Basically he's more or less a slightly improved version of himself from kentucky and some might think that's alright but i'm not so sure man. He's always been athletic even back then, no change there. Shooting is still an issue and will always be an issue imo, decision making is an issue no change there either. Doesn't make anyone better and wasn't really a true point, no change there either.

What if I told you he shot better from damn near every location (including 3s)... than Jameer did this year.

Code: Select all

 .........Bledsoe......Nelson.........
At Rim     .580         .574
3-<10ft    .447         .429
10-<16ft   .340         .263
16ft-<3pt  .291         .322
3pt        .368         .341

then that would be really interesting, now with Bledsoe's numbers are those playing with the starters or playing against second units? how many attempts?

Season-long. 568 FGA compared to Jameer's 780 FGA.

Just watched Boston celtics on espn news conference and it showed on the ticker that the nba will ban any trades involving players traded between la and Boston even in multi team trades. And they will probably ban it too if Boston cuts them and makes a free agent. So no pierce or kg this year. Next year they can.

Kevin Love - F/C - Timberwolves

The Cavs offered the top pick in the draft, Tristan Thompson and Dion Waiters for Kevin Love, according to ESPN.com.
It's an interesting package, but it's not going to be enough to pry one of the league's best power forwards. The Cavs aren't really tied to any specific player with the first overall pick, so it makes a lot of sense that they would try and deal it. Even though Love is coming off a disastrous year, shooting 35.2 percent from the field in only 18 games, he still has top-five fantasy upside

this is how u can defeat that.

u have both the celtics and Clippers trade wat they want for the 2 players plus a Lil Extra for a Transaction/Broker fee to 2 teams. then those 2 teams trade the players both teams wanted to them for a Fee. 8-)

its almost a 4 way deal but it isnt.

its give a day or 2 then do the next trade and dont dress x players :P

I'm not sure I could turn that down if I was Minnesota.
