4. Cleveland is overvaluing their assets.

The GB is just nuts. I don't know why I even bother.

5. Chris Grant is as incompetent a drafter as Kahn

Re: The Kevin Love Speculation Thread
Rofl nothing in Cleveland that would be of interest to me other than Kyrie Irving.
That team has done a terrible job trying to construct a team with any resemblance of identity. Idk how Irving, Waiters, TT, Andersen V fit together at all, and if they bring in Len, it is going to be a complete waste of 3 top 4 picks.
So sad that the Wolves could have possibly had either Curry or Irving, Wolves are just as horrible drafting, but hey at least you can tell what type of team it is trying to be with Love and Pek down low.

You can't deny that the offer is not a bit tempting. Waiters + TT + #1 pick would make us the deepest team in the league.

I bet we would piss Rubio off and miss the playoffs for the next decade.

Not tempting at all for me. Rubio and 14 role players is not going to go far. Quality > Quantity

No it wouldn't. We'd be a lottery team next year. You don't trade a franchise player for three lottery tickets for a an all star talent unless you have to. None of the three that'd be coming back projects to be an all star. Harden, Deron, Melo, you name it, all those teams took steps back and are no better off.

Wolves couldn't have had Irving. Drafting is part of it, but so is devoping talent. Wolves haven't been great at either, but I think that's changing.

If you believe in stats we would be a vastly worse team unless the #1 pick was better than Love.
RAPM has TT + Waiters production last year as slightly worse than Shved + DWill's

Re: The Kevin Love Speculation Thread
I'm a fan who all year said I would be okay with trading Love, but not for a deal like this. If we are moving Love, I would want it to be for player that we perceive to have similar value like LMA, Horford, or Blake. That type of move would be great, but I do not want the prospect haul in a shaky draft.

I wasn't really looking at their stats, but based on the eye test I think they are both solid players, and that Waiters will be an allstar. I didn't say I would do the deal, and I wouldn't, I just said that it's tempting. Also, I love Love, but he still has things to prove.

Re: The Kevin Love Speculation Thread
I would guess that the fans that are bashing Flip for turning down this deal on the TB, would be the same ones trashing it if Kevin Love were on their team.
Prospects are nice. Prospects who are already All Stars, like Kevin Love, are that much nicer.

Re: The Kevin Love Speculation Thread
We are not trading Love, there is no sane reason too. These threads are getting annoying. /troll off.

I looked at Dion's #s a lil closer, found some projections.
didn't know he was that bad. looks like all he's gonna be is a Ben Gordon type.

I think you should have explored like a three team deal. This offer was not that bad, if you knew who was to pick at #1, it would have been a great deal.

Re: The Kevin Love Speculation Thread
None of them will be as good as Kevin, so it's a bad deal.
TT isn't as good as Derrick (bad shooter, worse D), and Waiters currently plays as well as Brooks (poorly), and may not get better. Wayne Ellington was starting at SG in front of him.
So it's really Love for the #1, plus a couple backups. That's a pathetic offer. Unless they want to add on a couple more unprotected first round picks...
I'd rather keep Adelman here, he'd be gone in a minute without Love.

Re: The Kevin Love Speculation Thread
Love for backups? Yikes.
Give me what the Bulls can offer 1.000.000 times. Mirotic + Butler+ Bobcats pick + 2 or 3 bulls 1st rd pick is better than this.
I wouldn't trade Love for that package either, but it's a bit better.

Re: The Kevin Love Speculation Thread
This is surprising. It seemed last season after the comments and injury, people on here were ready to move Love for a jar of pickles...
Return to Minnesota Timberwolves
