Rockets to decline options on Garcia, Delfino & Brooks

We knew that it was coming, and here it is.

Rockets decline options on Garcia, Delfino and Brooks clearing out 11.9M in salary cap hits. I expect that all three will have their pick of future locations, especially Garcia with the way that he performed after Delfino was injured.

I'm sure they'll find homes. A lot of teams looking to add bench/cheap talent.

I'm gonna miss Delfino. I think he's a really valuable 2/3 off the bench and I hope we're able to fill his shoes nicely.

This is still one of my favourite Rockets plays of all-time...

I personally don't like the moves. Not having these guys is in no way going to kill us but, I think The Rockets should've tried to at least keep one of the three guys. I mean, it feels like we're going all in on someone that isn't a sure thing (AKA Dwight Howard).

Garcia has already been noted to potentially be interested in re-signing with us for less depending on the offers; however, correct me if I'm wrong though, because I'm not 100%. As for Delfino, wasn't his injury pretty serious? As inconsistent as he was, he definitely added a positive impact to our team. That being said, he's someone who can be replaced and even improved upon as well.

Delfino is a shooter & defender, much like Mike Miller. My guess is Miller will not be returned to the Heat next season due to health issue. Delfino will be a Heat.

My guess: Rockets will bring Francisco Garcia back with the Room Exception ($2.65 million, 2 years max), assuming they spend their cap space on someone else (very likely).

Sounds like Morey is doing everything that he can to try to get something out of Brooks & Delfino before the first when they would have to decline their options. If he even manages to get some future second rounders back I'd be impressed!

Hell he was valuable even as 4
At certain moments, always unforeseen, I become happy…
I look at strangers near as if I had known them all my life…
everything fills me with affection…
It may be an hour before the mood passes,
but ultimately I seem to understand

no more space in sig

I bet Morey has a whole list of underrated players we can get for cheap to replace Delfino, guys who aren't playing well on their team but would play well on ours.
