Seems to me like Flip is dismissing the comment that CJ has "great size" more than dismissing CJ himself.

I think cj will be a nice player and more of a 2 than a 1, but, he'd have to basically be a 6th man here. Best case is a Ben Gordon type maybe?

Heard you guys like Sergey Karasev at 26? If he doesn't fall what do you guys think of Kosta Papa, he game kinda reminds me of him, he also led the euro league in 3pt %. Not a 2 guard but you could work him and Chase off the bench together. Just trying to ID tha teams who wanted to trade for him in the late 20's my guess is San Antonio or you guys.

I really hope we can pick Zeller at 9. He´s a sure asset for the team. 7 footer, offensive game already developed, athleticism that goes off the charts… extremely weak to play C in the NBA, yes, but making the rookie salary for a 9th pick he´ll be vastly underpaid for years (even if he doesn´t improve from where he is already).

Oladipo would be nice but, aside from him…. I´m not bought on any of the other presumably available picks to be able to be up to their rookie salaries. (I think Burke is going to be a star, but he won´t be there at 9. If somehow he was, we´d have to take him as the BP available by far).

KCP: Good defense, horrible offense. Athletic but can´t get to the rim. In offense his BBIQ is low low. I don´t buy the idea that he had to take bad shots because there wasn´t anybody else to help in his team. He takes horrible decisions and that´s it. I don´t think he´ll be worth his salary at 9th

McCollum: Much more interesting player but undersized for a SG. I would be ok taking him, but I think we´re all bored of having undersized SGs in our team. I can´t feel enthusiastic about the idea.

McClemore: 3 and D guy that will have an NBA career at that role. Nothing else (and nothing less). I think I´d rather go for an already proven player at that role (Courtney Lee, Dudley, Afflalo...) is he worth a 9th pick?

Shabazz: Just a bad player… Don´t touch him even at 26.

Yeah. The other teammates were so good than no one could even average 9 ppg ad the one who average 8,.5 shoot less than 38%. His team was awful, he took bad shots, because his bad shots were better than good shots for other players. Look at this:
When he passed the ball, this things happened.

PD: I still don't believe that Zeller is not going to be top-5 in this draft. He's so good. If we can trade Dwill and get a SG vet...I'm all in with Zeller at 9.

Yes, he did have bad teammates, but shooting a contested step-back jumper with 15+ seconds left on the shot clock is never a good idea, and that is what KCP has been doing for the last year. I have questions about his D as well and I don't think he will be a good pick for us.

Who knows about any prospects in this draft though. KCP might adapt and listen to Adelman draining 3's off screens and playing solid or good D, but I have my doubts. We will likely get a vet SG alongside this pick anyway, so I don't even see KCP starting with Rubio which is obviously where his fit is.

Viljanen, I would take Shabazz at #26 - just like probably any team - he can score and shot well from 3. Put him on the 2nd unit and he could thrive.

inexplicably, in spite of almost everything I read about Muhammad both on and off the court raising red flags, I can't write him off. I'm thinking that if you can get him in a strictly defined role of playing off the ball rather than iso's where he can rise up and shoot, he could be a nice player. Also seems to use his solid size and strength well in the paint and the Wolves would be even more devastating on the offensive glass with Pek, Love, and Muhammad. I don't think Flip has any interest so it's a moot point I guess, but I'll be interested to watch him in the NBA and see how he's used and what he brings. Maybe not worth a top 10 pick, but at some point soon after that he'd seem to be a worthy gamble.

As said before, the next highest scorer on Georgia was more than doubled up by KCP and only managed to shoot 37%. Only one guy other than KCP managed to shoot above 40% while scoring at least 3 ppg (a big man that averaged 5 ppg on 45.7% shooting, not exactly a guy warranting much defensive attention). Everybody acknowledges that he played on an awful team, but I don't think they realize just how godawful it was. And he still a dozen or so points spread out over a handful of close calls from dragging them to the tournament.

He's a 20 year old asked to play hero ball for a whole season. It's going to be pretty easy to find examples of poor shot selection in that context. In my opinion it's off the mark to ascribe a low BBIQ to him given the role he was asked to play. I also don't see the defensive question marks. He's appropriately sized, athletic, tough, alert, active, gives an honest effort and has a nose for the ball. There are certainly still aspects of his game that need polish, but every time I read somebody giving an opinion on him I wonder if they've seen him play at all outside of the DX video.
"A while back,'' Cardinal said, "I took a picture of the standings and texted it to Love, just to bust his chops,'' Cardinal said. "He sent me a picture back of a snowdrift.''

I know I haven't, but I'm 100% sure he's going to be in the hall of fame.

KCP ,,, IMO ... is a chucker. I just get the Wes Johnson vibe (same ball-handling limitations) but likes to shoot more while forcing more shots at the same time.

Pretty sure Flip is not going to draft KCP ... if he does, I will eat road-kill.

Did he accomplish it by playing for us in that dream? And is the three eyed raven a Gay of Thrones reference? Just stahp.

I'd be happy with that, too. Franklin isn't getting the mentions he probably should.
