Sign Al Jefferson

Post#1 » by Trifecta47 » Mon Jun 24, 2013 3:33 am

I think it's obvious the Spurs need help down low. Splitter is a good player but not good enough to beat the Heat. On the other hand, Al Jefferson is probably the best offensive low post player in the league. In fact, the only guy he has trouble scoring against is Duncan. He is awful on defense, however, so he needs another big to cover up for him. And maybe Pop can motivate or teach him to play better D. A Splitter and Jefferson combination would work to give Duncan more rest. And Jefferson is a free agent.

I believe if the Spurs had Jefferson they would've beat the Heat. No one on the Heat can guard him.

Sixers fan who follows the Spurs as well. I agree Al Jefferson would be great for you guys. Apparantly you guys also have some interest in Thomas Robinson according to rumors I have read.

any big makes sense on the spurs as long they know how to play avg defense like manning up....let duncan and wing players help with help defense or coral players into positions where they are trapped to force a stupid turnover

a big rotation or duncan/al/diaw/baynes looks good to me...

blair for minimum and maybe another lengthy big would be nice...

Once again another guy we can't afford and I a guy that I just don't would be a good fit.

I do like the idea of Thomas Robinson though.

We can't afford Al Jefferson? I think many teams would offer him more money, but if he wants to win maybe he decides to take less money.. He will have to improve his defense, but his offensive game is really productive for the Spurs, specially in PO´s time..

Thomas Robinson? GREAT pick up if we can get him almost "free"..

Rockets don't want to take back any salary for him. So future picks and maybe the rights to one of the guys we have stashed overseas could get it done.
