If anything Portland would want Butler, Bobcats Pick, #20, and a future first, as well as whatever can be obtained with Deng to a third team

Of course that's what they want but they're not going to be getting it.

Our front office (and entire fanbase) is incredibly high on Butler right now and there's no trade outside of acquiring a superstar I can see us involving him in.

I don't think this gets done either but as others have pointed out with Deng and Batum being redundant a 3rd team would likely hafta get involved.

Aldridge is as close to a superstar PF as the Bulls are going to get without trading Noah (if thats even possible). With Noah and Aldridge, the Bulls would eviscerate nearly every frontcourt in the NBA. Even the Heat would be **** their pants at the thought of those two wreaking havoc on Bosh

In terms of playing style and impact, Aldridge and Noah is actually a clone of Hibbert and West except Hibbert is better than Noah as a scorer. Aldridge and West are almost the same player in more than one way.

All of this is speculation.

Aldridge has yet to say he wants out. And Portland has yet to say they're rebuilding.

Ever since the Wolves laughed at the Cavs offer for Love Bulls fans have been unnerved. I dont see Portland making a trade with the Bulls unless its involves Noah or something extremely one sided.

Id argue that Aldridge and Noah are better overall, but even if it was a wash, that frontcourt with MVP season level Rose would have ploughed through the East this year

If the Blazers won´t take on #1, #19 and maybe Tristan Thompson for Aldridge they never accept the Bulls offer!!

Boozer arguably had produced better in the post season prior to Chicago. I say this because people's thought is probably "now they have a guy that can produce better as a second option in the playoffs". A first glance look at LMA's numbers might say yes, but an in depth look says "meh" to his post season production as a scorer.

20/8 in the playoffs his last time there, in 2010-11. That's a bit better than just "meh", and that was when he wasn't as good as he is now and had little help (his #2 and #3 guys were Gerald Wallace and Dre Miller, not exactly Rose and Noah/Deng).

LMA helped the out-manned Blazers push the Mavs to 6 games. That's more than the Kobe-Pau-Bynum Lakers (swept) or the Durant-Westbrook-Harden Thunder (lost in 5) could manage.

This draft is widely viewed as many (including GMs) as one of the worst in awhile. Heard Chad Ford yesterday say that he talked to a Cleveland exec and they do not view one single player as someone who could be picked and contribute immediate.

This has to involve a third team. Wasn't Washington interested in Deng for #3?

Chi gets: LA

Wash gets: Deng

Blazers get: #3 pick from Wash, future 1st rd pick from Chicago, and Bobcats pick.

Something along those lines, I think...

That's a terrible offer for LMA. The Blazers get nothing but hopes and dreams.

Who would they even want at #1? They probably don't even know nor want to go down that road.

#19, not very exciting.

Thompson, no bad. Still mostly banking on potential there.

Aldridge is overrated. He is not a good defender or rebounder just a slight upgrade over Boozer. If Bulls can get him for deng + 20 + bobcats pick anything above is over paying

I would take Noah over him 10 out of 10.

Why should it matter where Aldridge wants to go? He still has two years left on his contract, meaning he has no leverage. Portland can just trade him to whoever makes the best offer, which more than likely isn't Chicago.

While I personally agree this draft is meh, I'm sure there's a gold nugget or two in there.

You also then you have Bulls trying to trade Deng for a third round pick, so all the sudden maybe it's not that bad (not like Deng is a scrub). When guys involved in scouting/drafting leak statements like that there's almost always an agenda, not a honest sentiment. Why would a Cavs front office person tell a radio station this draft sucks when they have the 1st pick? Someone is up to something.

Blazers don't seem desperate to trade Aldridge yet, so I don't expect anything less than Noah or Butler package to get it done.

I hope they do receive Charlotte's pick and rebuild. We have Portland's pick unprotected for 2016 as well.

These offers for LA are a joke.

The bulls are not giving up the farm for Aldridge. No need to. They are very very close, and gutting their team for a marginal upgrade over boozer seems like hustling backwards.

They should get what they can for LMA now, he's not a high-impact player. His best trait is that he is hilariously low-turnover, but he is a tepid scorer (and offensive player in general) and rebounder. Nice D but eh overall player.

This isn't the year to get draft picks for LMA. Now if the picks are for next year, maybe.

And Deng isn't going to do it.
