This is just some BS crap that a Chicago Writer is spinning. There's no story here.

This is like Bosh situation few years ago. Blazers would be smart to trade him (not now) but soon rather than loosing him for nothing like Raptors

No it's not. This rumor has popped up several times this season from several sources. Maybe it's bs, but McGraw didn't pull it out of thin air.

This is true.

I don't think its going to get better here for the Blazers.

This is from your own board:
Just listen to Chad Doing on 750 The Game.....LaMarcus wanting out is legit. He apparently said during the exit interview that he wanted out and wants to go to Chicago or Dallas. Apparently a local reporter knew about this but was told by Neil Olshey to keep quiet...

FWIW, Bucher has been saying for a while that there is a big man who has wanted to come to Chicago for months. A Bulls insider identified that person as Aldridge a while ago. Maybe its all a massive coincidence.

Chicago doesn't have the pieces to get it done though. Not really even close. Noah isn't going and neither is Rose, so that probably ends that.

There are ongoing rumors that the Bulls are trying to get TRob to flip him to a 3rd team for a high level player. Maybe its not completely dead.

I'm not against trading Aldridge for the right offer, but something centered around Deng would be a joke.

If this is legit I don't think Chicago is willing to give up the pieces it would take to get him, especially since we know #1/#19 weren't enough.

Maybe a team like Denver could offer up Fareid and McGee and get closer to what the Blazers are after.

Too bad the Bulls didn't keep Asik. They could've offered Noah and the rights to Mirotic for Aldridge.

Now I don't think they have the assets to make such a deal. They can always wait until Aldridge becomes a FA in 2 years.

Bulls trade rumors have been great this week. Their fans really think they have a chance at 1, 3, and LMA for a package centered around Deng.

Hadn't seen this. Chad Doing has no credibility with me personally. LMA is under contract for two more years. Portland isn't going to ship him to Chicago even if he wants to go there. If they trade him at all, it would be for that Cleveland package, but more likely they'll just build around him for two more years and see where things are at.

Let's say LMA wants out, wants to go to a contender and knows he is not a first option. What if Port wants to really rebuild then?

Boozer to NJ
Humph/Brooks/Rip (buy out)/TRob/Bulls 2015 pick/Char Pick/Rights to Mirotic (if he would go there?) to Port
LMA and Matthews to Bulls
#20 to Houston

NJ gets easy upgrade for nothing-this one is an easy yes
Hou gets a pick and clears cap space-picks a Euro maybe?-easy yes
Bulls spend big time, but go for it.
Rose/Kirk/Teague
Butler/Matthews/Kirk
Deng/Butler
LMA/Taj
Noah/LMA/Vet min FA

That team stomps Miami

Now, would Port do it. They clear A TON of present and future cap space. They build around Lillard/Batum/TRob/Leonard/Brooks/#10-plus future cap space and picks. Mirotic would be a top 5 pick this year. They tank 2014 for the great draft.

I would not if I were Port-I would stand pat and try to get Asik once Howard signs in Houston. But if they know they won't win a title with LMA as their best guy (they won't) does it hurt to sell high?

The news of LMA wanting out of Portland is good news for Cleveland. Chicago is really not worth a discussion at this point.

Your problem is that Cleveland's offer trumps Chicago's. Sorry.

I can't see Deng for Aldridge...There are plenty of teams that would love to get this guy. Deng doesn't have much value right now. Now If they include Jimmy Butler, Char Pick & find a way to get a 3rd team, this could work.

lol!

Anyways, I'd love Aldridge. I dont care about the Bobcats pick, or our pick this year, or our rights to the euroleague MVP. Im not big on future assets, and we have a descent amount of them. Couple that with Deng, or Taj...both...idc.. I really hope a deal is done.

I like Noah but guys like him can be had. They need a player like Aldridge to take the next step. Yeah I'm sure they would love to have Noah and Aldridge together. Should have thought about that when they let Asik go.

Pretty much all of this.

I'm not convinced Chicago is unwilling to trade Noah, btw. I love him, he's special, but management has been put on notice: get help on offense, or the relationship with Rose's camp will only get worse.

Portland doesn't want Deng (Batum is better going forward), or Taj (unless he's grouped with other assets like Butler).

Boozer arguably had produced better in the post season prior to Chicago. I say this because people's thought is probably "now they have a guy that can produce better as a second option in the playoffs". A first glance look at LMA's numbers might say yes, but an in depth look says "meh" to his post season production as a scorer.

20/8 in the playoffs his last time there, in 2010-11. That's a bit better than just "meh", and that was when he wasn't as good as he is now and had little help (his #2 and #3 guys were Gerald Wallace and Dre Miller, not exactly Rose and Noah/Deng).

LMA helped the out-manned Blazers push the Mavs to 6 games. That's more than the Kobe-Pau-Bynum Lakers (swept) or the Durant-Westbrook-Harden Thunder (lost in 5) could manage.

Sorry, I mean in comparison to Boozer's last playoffs before Chicago, he put up 20-13-3 and shot 53% from the field. Of course his 20 PPG was in about 40-41 MPG, so it's not some amazing scoring feat by any means (and to be fair, LaMarcus did 20.8 pts in 43 MPG himself and it took him 19.2 FGA/G, so that in itself wasn't anything amazing, especially since he averaged 19.0 pts, 5 rpg on 18.5 FGA/40.5% FG in their two wins and it took him 45 MPG to get that, and he shot 43% or lower in the last 4 games of the series averaging more FGA than points altogether in those games). If you're talking about offense, the combination of Matthews (25 pts on 12 shots) and Roy were more responsible for their first win, and then Roy's explosion for their second win.

I guess the argument could be that Boozer drastically declined from the player he was, or that the Jazz system plus Williams helped him, or that the matchups in the playoffs for Chicago just haven't been favourable for him.
