“My foot feels a lot better, but I still have a lot of work to do,” Noah told ESPN NewYork.com Wednesday at the “Steve Nash Foundation Showdown,” a charity soccer game in Manhattan. “I’m still not 100 percent, but I feel pretty good and I’ll be ready at the beginning of the season.”

Ok I'm down..... after reading this trade Noah for LMA and draft a center....Noah will never be healthy :(

Let's look at the 4 potential outgoing pieces so that you can take a tour through my mind, Fleet.

Deng -- Will probably be leaving the Bulls between draft day & the end of the season.

Gibson -- Taj is one of my favorites, but he is replaceable.

Charlotte pick -- It's value will fluctuate depending on the Bobcats' success. We need to cash it in.

1st rd pick -- It will basically be a 2nd round pick.

Is LMA my ideal "franchise player" to pair with Rose?....Not at all, but his addition makes us a better team, IMO.

the criteria you should be using is the actual value your pieces have, not their value to the Bulls. And basically, the Charlotte pick alone represnts Lamarcus Aldridge himself. Its the compensation for putting up with Tyrus Thomas for a few years, who was aquired for...Lamarcus Aldridge.

You go around making bad impatient deals just to make them, thats bad business, and ultimately you'll regret it. I guarantee you Friday morning GarPax will say something like there were deals we could have made, but we aren't going to make a bad deal just to make a deal. And thats totally good business. When all that is out there are barrels to bend over, politely step away and look for other opportunities down the line to max your assets. They will come. Patience grasshoppers.

Fair post...plus I'm too sleepy to argue with posters anymore  .

I am curious about what you believe is a fair package is for the Bulls to give up for LMA, though.

I like love just as much as the next guy but LMA has the length and defense that Love doesn't have.

And love isn't available right now...LMA is

Love is legit.

I just don't know if his offensive game is built for the playoffs.

Again, to all of those discussing Asik, it was a tweet by a fan that merely got replied to. It has no merit, and it will not happen. Just an FYI.

Exactly. Aldridge has a more polished back to the basket game and a strong go to move with that turnaround jumper. He also doesn't float out to the 3-point line like Love tends to do. Plus Aldridge has more mobility defensively to play in Thibs' system. Not that I'd say no to Love, but I'd prefer Aldridge.

Thats actually not a bad lineup. I love Noah but the dude can't shoot at all. I would trade Noah for LA if they can't work something out.

Aldridge hasn't really shown that he has an offensive game built for the playoffs. In 18 playoff games he's averaged 18 points and 6 rebounds on 46% shooting.

By comparison Boozer has a career playoff average of 18 points and 11 rebounds on 49% shooting.

Edit -- Sorry just realized I was looking at Aldridge's per 36 playoff averages. His actual numbers are 20 and 7 in 40 minutes. Boozer's numbers are also reflected in per 36 which is also his career average.

Marcin Gortat is a free agent next year if asik isn't in the deal. He is a good quality center imo

Provides great rebounding, blocks,, muscle and can score easy points

The only untouchable is Rose, I'm tired of this Noah and Butler stuff. I can't believe people believe Butler is untouchable.....

What we could have is
Garnett
Aldridge
P Pierce
E. Gordan
Rose

Trade Noah to the Blazers for Aldridge and there pick,
Boozer to Nets, Nets Crap to Boston and Garnett Here.
Deng for E Gordan,
Trade Blazers Pick, the 20th for a top pick and take Alex Len.

Pick up Pierce and now we have a championship team!

Exactly why I think Love will get exposed in the playoffs against a really fast defense like the Heat/Pacers. Guys like Haslem and West are quick enough to chase him off the line. They're also susceptible to big bodies that can bang down low like LMA.

So if they traded Noah and drafted Gorgui Dieng...

Rose Teague
Butler/ Hinrich
Deng / #49
Aldridge/ Boozer
Dieng / Taj

I agree, I prefer Aldridge. I think Miami would kill us by making Love defend the PnR.

Aldridge averaged 20 & 7 on 46% shooting. I think you used his per-36 numbers.

Plus Boozer is likely trending downward (he's 4 years older than Aldridge).

BTW Aldridge's 46% in the playoffs is still better than Love's regular season FG%.
