Mark Teixeira will have season-ending surgery on his wrist.
Yankees physician Dr. Chris Ahmad and other hand specialists recommended surgery on Teixeira's sore wrist after an MRI confirmed his torn tendon sheath had not healed adequately.
Teixeira originally tore the tendon while hitting off a tee during the World Baseball Classic on March 5.
