I guess the Frank-Kidd dream reunion tour is canceled.

Jason Kidd's Assistants Hired

Post#4 » by Paradise » Thu Jun 27, 2013 7:13 pm

Stefan Bondy ‏@NYDNInterNets 3m
Jason Kidd has on assistant staff, so far confirmed: Lawrence Frank, Roy Rogers, Eric Hughes.

Roy Rodgers helped develop Andre Drummond, Eric Hughes helped with Amir Johnson, DeRozan, Terrence Ross, etc.

Too bad we may not have any young guys

Well I'll be damned. Welcome back Lawrence Frank! That's quite a decent staff.

really, the ONLY guy for the job. expereince as a head coach while not being a guy who will overshadow kidd. as smart as they come. love this hire.

also spent time in boston so if the KG/PP thing happens they have experience together

Frank was also the Def Coach with the Celts right?

Let's do this...bring on KG, PP, JT, and...CL?

Yeah, I don't think KG will ever forgive Ray. I wouldn't count on it.

Completely agree. Only guy for the job at this point. Read that Boston was considering him to replace Doc. Well, if the trade goes through he will get to coach the Celtics IN Brooklyn. :D

I posted the same thing a couple of days ago. But I figured at the time that Boston would buy out PP and he would call Ray about splitting the MMLE with him. Now we can offer him the entire thing. Although its a bit redundant if we get Terry. But I dont care. Would be fun to have Ray rejoin with those guys.

Perfect signing. Not just because he's smart and a great defensive mind who gets along well with everyone (which he is), but because he coached Kidd and Lopez, and then was the lead assistant with KG and Pierce. He knows everyone involved, and if anyone can help Kidd get these guys to mesh in his rookie year as a coach, Frank can.

LF, man did he get a bad break...I always thought he poured his heart into the Nets and I'm very excited he is back in this manner teaming up again w/ JKidd...we can finally put the Fire Frank days behind us...actually, gmoney who no longer posts here was the biggest advocate...

And hope all is well with Frank's wife, so pleased he was able to take this opportunity...JKidd will be a better coach with LF's experience with Boston and Detroit...

Lawrence Frank, Roy Rogers, Eric Hughes round out the new hires. Doug Overton will remain as an assistant as well.

You would pull a superfecta with that one...
