New logo leaked

I'll wait until I see these "other variations" of the logos they talk about as well as the jerseys. I'm still extremely disappointed that the primary logos (as well as the court) are mainly black and orange, but I'll withhold final judgement until everything is officially rolled out.

Bottomline the suns are Jerry colangelo's child. Sarver is just a stepfather. He is trying to turn everyone against their real dad.

Anyone who says they want the purple to go clearly don't understand history or don't care. Let me call some packers fans and ask them to get rid of the green and replace it with black. They would go nuts cause they respect the history of the team. Some people here have little to no respect!!! Once you get rid of the purple the team no longer is the suns they are just a basketball team in Phoenix.

Now I just read they are doing the whole golden state thing with sleeves on the jerseys. I hate you sarver, burn in hell, you son of bitch!!

Anyone catch Sarver's interview on channel 12 last night? I doubt they talked about the new logos and uniforms, but his choice of shirt is very interesting. Is it a positive sign for all those wanting more purple or was Sarver just trolling the fans?

Basically just stuff we've heard before. No talk about the logos/jerseys. Apparently there will be another part of this interview tonight, so maybe they'll get to some other points.



Also, a fun fact for all of us that hate that new "S" logo. The original concept was actually first designed in 1993. I don't recall the team ever using it, though (hhm.... can't imagine why). So apparently Sarver, or at least the design team, have gone beyond our expectations of embracing our history. Here's how the 1993 concept looked:

As I said, I didn't recall the team using it, but there it is. Nice finds. I actually think that logo looks good, better than the current "S" logo, at least.

I'm not buying it, at least not yet. As they say, though, seeing is believing. So far, I've seen the background of the website is purple, a couple shirts on the team store are purple and apparently there will be an all purple away jersey. That's great, as I never thought purple was disappearing in the first place. But why isn't there any purple in 3 of the 4 primary logos and the home court??? The logos are what people first see, it's about brand recognition. Just look at the comments in that blog and you'll see two great examples of how they could have easily added purple to the main logos. They seemingly went out of their way to exclude it and that's what irritates me. A little purple goes a long way.

Okay, I think I got that out of my system for the day. Now to prepare my true rage and frustration for tonight's draft....

But I haven't skipped over it, I immediately noticed it. My point is that what they have revealed as the primary, official logos (the ones seen on TV, online, etc) do not include any purple (minus the PHX bird). That new 'S' and the classic sunburst/wordmark combo need purple. The logos they revealed should have been the "other options", not vice versa.

I do believe they will eventually make the proper changes to appease all fans. As of now, we're stuck with orange and black primary logos.

the black primary logo is awful! You can't have the primary logo not have orange and purple. Black was always the alternate jersey color which we hardly ever wore in the 90's.
