I lost IQ points on that Bonnell chat. Seriously.
My picks:
2020 Draft (3rd pick) - Tyrese Haliburton, Devin Vassell, or Onyeka Okongwu
2021 Draft (11th pick) - Moses Moody

Keep in mind that any sort of trade more than likely won't occur until that second team has their draft slot come up. If we really think Zeller+whatever is better than what we can get at 4, what they'll do is draft somebody both teams like at 4 (fats mentioned McLemore) then either keep him and call off the trade if Zeller isn't available or announce it when they show up

Drives me crazy how he seems to get drawn to a secondary part of the question instead of answering the question.

Q: Do you see us packaging picks for a Cousins or Monroe?
A: Cousins won't be traded.

He praises Kemba's improvement but randomly takes a shot at Cam in doing so.

Compares Price working with MKG to his days of teaching tennis

Compares the likelihood of Howard coming to Charlotte to him dating Uma Thurman.

Dismisses questions about second round prospects: "Bobcats don't have second rounder."

Not to mention some of the absurd questions that got through (Plumlee at 4?). Observer poll has Len leading, so I guess Bonnell got through to them.

yeah so even if we draft McLemore or Oladipo its not a sure thing because they could get traded to Minnesota. We are going to be limbo for half the draft i bet.

Here's a good balanced synopsis heading into the draft. It talks about how Charlotte is willing to trade up or down. Most of the time we have focused on trading down. I'm relieved Cho identified perimeter shooting as a need.

Is it worth the risk though? If we do take someone for the Wolves and Zeller (or whoever we want) doesn't make it to them, now what? Getting a guy like Adams wouldn't be awful, but going through with something like that and settling for a consolation prize seems like a terrible way to cap the year. We sucked for a high pick, I think I'd rather just use it.

See that's the thing. Last year lots of folks here got upset when the Cats picked MKG without trading down. They wanted MKG + something. I'm sure we will hear the same thing this year for some picks.

But the possiblity of picking a guy for another team without assurance that the guy you want is there at a lower pick is why those draft trades are hard. it's much safer to just pick the guy you really want at whatever your spot is.

If the team picks Zeller or some other guy projected by "experts" below 4 I'm OK with that. There are some good teams that draft the guy they want year after regardless if it makes the experts happy or not. It seems to work for them.

What I'm concerned about is all the reports of "factions" within the Bobcats organization. Cho keeps sounding like one voice among many.

You only do the deal if you like the player too. I we really like Oladipo/McLemore we take them but we will trade them for Zeller and Williams plus whoever we can get at 26. If Zeller is gone and there is nobody else we like we happily stay with our SG. I don't think we would do it if they wanted Burke because we would not want to possibly get stuck with him.

Is the asumption that one of the SGs is preferred to Zeller, so we'd be fine with them if Zeller doesnt fall to nine? I'm a quality over quantity guy, I'd rather get our top choice instead of our second guy plus Williams and a late pick.

Cho and Higgins talking draft.

Watch Cho laugh about not shopping MKG and then saying "You can't believe everything on the internet." ... and Higgins looks away gives a big slow blink. Maybe I'm reading too much into that.

The assumption would be that we like the SG but value Williams and another piece more. Maybe we think we could upgrade two spots with the trade rather than just one with a pick.

Last time we took quantity over quality Chris Paul bit us on the ass. Now there definitely isn't someone of that caliber in this draft (I don't think), but id prefer not to do that again.

to be fair, the rumor has finally been cleared up by bernie last week. we had a deal on the table for the portland pick #3, for our picks #5 and #12. five minutes before the blazers picked they called and let the cats know they had accepted the offer from the jazz. we arent the ones who pulled the plug on the deal.

Orlando's point guard makes a push for Ben McLemore

http://www.orlandopinstripedpost.com/20 ... ando-magic

"He's NBA-ready for the most part, and you can always use an athletic wing player that can get up and down the court and score the ball," Nelson, a Magic co-captain, said of McLemore. "He'll fit right in with core of young guys we have, and I'll be there to groom him."

Ah, well that's good to hear. Either way Id still prefer quality, though. Even though are depth is pretty pathetic
