They're walking this report back like a mofo on ESPN right now.

The Russian might want to do this, but I really have my doubts.

The picks would come up in 2016. Not gonna help Ainge's rebuild too much.

Wojo is a mouth piece for the Nets. This is most likely something that the Nets want more so something Boston is down for.

Ainge dont care aboit Wallace. He wants to tank for Wiggins. Thats the endgame.

So what? They'll have too short of a window to build a team that can really contend and Billy King will ensure that any hope the Nets have for re-upping around Deron/Brook will be thrown out the window.

lol BK dont give a fk about "building for the future". Theyre in win now mode, as they should be.

And when Joes contract is up in 2016, theyre gonna make a run at Durant anyway.

Did you just say that based on KD signing with Jay Z's agency? Is this really happening. Why in God's name would he come here in 2016.

I don't know about that, but they will be better than us.

this is annoying as hell but changes nothing

if these bums play in BK then it elevates BK tremendously and makes the rivalry stronger than ever
However I dont see this as a long term good move for BK

they might be better than us for one year but they might not and they certainly wont be as those players break down, expire and move on, eat away at the cap and as those picks make their way out the door

that said this is a winning move short term and one that shows again Ivan's willingness to think aggressively and shows his laser focus on the Knicks.

They shouldn't be in win-now mode though. That's the problem. Their goal should be stay good enough to keep fans interested while making sure they can continue to have a solid core around Deron and Brook. And Durant is not signing with a team that has no picks.

They're pointing out the flaws with the deal - three years before they get any picks, having to pay Wallace, KG's no-trade, a rookie coach trying to control a team full of vets.

This is The Russian, dreaming. Like I said, I have my doubts.

If you need to use the term "win-now mode" to justify a trade it usually ends up bad.

I wouldnt rule out anything so early. 2016 is a long way from now and you never know who they might get before that.

That said....we need to make a major move, regardless if this goes through or not. I cant take BK being better than us even for one single fking year.

It sounds like the Nyets are attempting a move that the Knicks usually get killed for here - giving up picks for old vets and losing cap flexibility.

As someone who isn't here very much any more would say - that's not 'building the right way.'

This is the same type of thinking that usually leads to bad decisions that fans decry as being shortsighted and foolish down the road.

Psychotic deal. Pierce and Garnett are close to playing in a legends game and now the Nets are packaging future #1s in a desparate attempt to accomplish what? Certainly not beat the Heat.

Prok/King = Dolan/Isaiah 2.0

Nets got raped in the Deron and Wallace deals and now they're going for round 3.

I was thinking the same thing

if this was the Knicks making this deal this place would be falling apart with anger and frustration and blaming Isaiah in a back room somewhere

and thats not to say they would be right or wrong

perhaps winning a ring no matter the cost should be our goal and we should be sacrificing everything to get there

we haven't won in 40 yrs

Yeah, it's a nice sunny day out. This place needed a few more clouds.
