Celtics, Nets couldn't potentially complete deal 'til moratorium ends July 10, source says. Teams need Pierce's 13-14 salary to make it work

Exactly. Ainge is trying to resurrect the Joe Barry Carroll for Kevin McHale and Robert Parrish deal...

As someone who isn't here very much any more would say - that's not 'building the right way.'

I was thinking the same thing

if this was the Knicks making this deal this place would be falling apart with anger and frustration and blaming Isaiah in a back room somewhere

and thats not to say they would be right or wrong

perhaps winning a ring no matter the cost should be our goal and we should be sacrificing everything to get there

we haven't won in 40 yrs

Can I go on record saying the Nets are run like a Benny Hill skit. Morons over there.

Deron Williams- Joe Johnson- Paul Pierce- Kevin Garnett-Brook Lopez would be enough to get through the Heat.

Net management makes Knick management look prudent.

If BK wants to mortage its future there are better moves. KG makes sense but Pierce is totally redundant with Joe Johnson. Instead they should look to find a solid 3/D swing and a nice bench player or two. Then I might actually envy the Nets.

Not even close. Time and time again it's been proven that you need solid glue guys to win a championship. The Nets would be a repeat of this year's Lakers.

In 2009. No way Lopez remains and he might be their best player going forward. Singe knows what he's doing.

There's only one basketball, and an awful lot of old guys used to getting lots of shots...

Not enough energy/atheleticism to have a good defense.

Not enough chemistry to have as great of an offense as they would need.

Are the Knicks even trying? I haven't seen them linked to any rumors and free agency is only a few days away.

And a rookie coach trying to make it all work. It stands as much chance of being a total disaster as turning into a team that wins a chip.

And who are your backups when Pierce and Garnett cant play much beyond 30 mpg? KG was playing in 5 minute bursts this regular season and had to be shut down.

how high is danny ainge? those 3 1st round picks are useless if Brooklyn will be beasting every year and giving them high 23-28 picks.

plus taking on gerrald wallace's contract? why not just let KG and Pierce expire and start the rebuild mode like that.

I would've sworn that this deal would have to include Lopez, maybe Marshan if boston was still interested in him, and some picks.

There is absolutely no evidence of Boston even entertaining this deal
