KG and Pierce to Brooklyn?

I hope it's Terry going. Lee is only 20 something he can improve with a full 82 games on a rebuilding team. His deal is longer but there's also a chance he becomes an asset while JET would be nothing due to age. Crazy deal though..major blockbuster trade. I absolutely hate how we will help Brooklyn get rid of that hideous Wallace contract and be stuck with it for 4 years. What the hell is Ainge thinking on this one? I call Brooklyn winning the east if this goes down. Garnett and Lopez will be tough to handle. Pierce, Johnson and Dwill is straight up SICK.

Not knowing the current trade market, but, I'd much rather send Lee out. Terry has a chance to get a contender interested at the deadline and also be one of the few veteran leaders in the locker-room while he's here. Lee was bitching about touches with Rondo and was fairly unproductive when he had a significant role as ballhandler.

Deron Williams was arguably the BEST PG in the entire league the 2nd half of last season. He was killing teams. He's awesome. He's a freakin Bull, scores, distributes, defends. If he was on Boston the past 5 years the Celtics have 2-3 rings instead of 1

Yeah. He actually used to give Pierce a really hard time when Charlotte was semi-competitive, if I remember correctly. But last year, he put up .397/.282/.637.

Basic framework of the deal is that the Celtics would trade Pierce and KG for Humphries' expiring contract, Gerald Wallace (who has a three-year $30 million contract), Tomike Shengelia, and three future first round picks.

Ainge isn't doing that deal as being reported. It's either A. Not happening or B. there's a lot more to it that's not being reported. I'm going with A.

Also, why are people saying Josh Smith in 2 years will be Gerald Wallace? First of all, Gerald Wallace was NEVER the player that Josh Smith currently is. Gerald Wallace is an overrated role player who cannot shoot or dribble. Josh Smith is a 6'9 uber athlete who gets up and down the court, blocks shots, rebounds, passes, scores in transition, etc. He's not a superstar but he's an awesome player.

Smith 6'9, long reach, athletic ability allows up to play bigger.

Agreed. I am confident in the Nets ability to throw up all over themselves once KG and Pierce retire. These picks will most likely be lottery. If BK wants them protected, Danny should tell them to go fly a kite.

this trade is a nightmare. Nothing about is good. Even if they get Wiggins next year you still have Wallace for 2 more years who plays the same freakin position has Wiggins/Parker and a guy we already have in Green. I hate it. The expiring deal of Hump is simply offset by the garbage deal that Wallace has. Brooklyn HANDCUFFED themselves with the Wallace deal and EVERYONE across the league knew it the moment he signed the contract. Now Ainge wants to bail those bums out? DON'T DO IT. I can stand to see PP/KG return to the Garden once for a tribute video and standing ovation. I CANNOT deal with seeing them all season long

Agreed. Saddened that the PP for Asik stuff hasn't developed more - that's the only rumor all summer that's shivered any timber so far..

But the Nets would only be able to take on one. And I'd rather have Lee than Wallace (younger, cheaper, can shoot.)

Dumping Terry would be nice, but ditching 2 years/10 mil doesn't take much of the sting out of 3 years/$30 mil.

This deal is simply horrible. I'm just going to have to have faith that Ainge wouldn't want any part of that Wallace deal in a rebuild. It's pretty much the opposite of what we need and a few late 1sts don't make it worth it.
