Boston just looks at it from a financial freedom. Ainge NEVER liked Paul Pierce. I don't think they really care what they get in return. This was the franchise that didn't mind tanking in hopes of getting Tim Duncan and Greg Oden in the lottery. 2014 is the year for the lottery.

I think BK is gonna get raped ultimately in terms of how these picks play out. Ainge is no dummy and he knows he can get Billy King to cough up picks that will end up being lottery. BK will have a few years of 2nd/3rd round exits and best and will go through a decade of being awful. SMH at Knicks fans who are jealous of BK here.

3 first rounders from a contender at that point? Not worth a lot. Thats like the Heat offering 3 first rounders for a team's best player, it won't happen.

The first thing u have to realize is KG can block ANY trade. That gives Ainge little leverage. Not to mention, every GM knows he's looking to rebuild. With that said, any deal include any 3 first round picks is probably the best on the market right now. At the end of the day Paul and KG are useless in the context of having them start on the Celtics this year.

The dysfunction came from injuries and the system, around April once both got healthy at the sametime. They started to click, ironically it was against Boston where JJ and Deron played off each other and the Celtics couldn't stop it. Then, blew out the Pacers the same way. So, it's possible for them to play together as long as both are healthy. Kidd is preaching a ball movement system similar to the 2011 Mavericks, which is why Brooks is going to get traded.
