Won't happen until July 10 anyway, the drop in salary for Pierce and KG is needed to make the salaries match.

Are there better offers? You say this like you know this... but you don't. There are very few teams that would be willing to take on both of them (for $ reasons) and sending PP with KG is a big part of convincing KG to wave his no-trade clause...
I could care less if there are better offers. I'd rather see Pierce and Garnett retire in green before they're send to the Nets and waste their final years there. The same thing that applies to the DeAndre Jordan/Clippers deal applies to this proposed deal as well. If we're not getting value back, then it's not worth it.
You are not making any sense. Obviously if DA doesn't think we are getting value back, then it's not worth it. What does that have to do with trading to a division rival OR that fact that you claim there are better offers out there when you obviously don't know that? And you SHOULD care if there are better offers if you are so concerned (and rightfully so) about getting "value" back. So... basically... you are not making any sense.

I guess they are thinking maybe we let him play next year and he has a stronger season and some contender will want him later. Idk..

JLaz92 wrote:I say there are better offers out there, because the reported "rumors" have said so. Pierce to the Cavs for two 2nd round picks and a TPE is better then the Nets trade.
Heck, the DeAndre Jordan for Garnett trade is better then anything the Nets can offer. If we're taking back the contract of Wallace, I'd rather take Jordan and his contract, as at least he has upside and size. Wallace is past his prime and headed for a downward spiral as shown this year.
Does that make sense to you?

But why do we want to help our division rival form a super-team?
There's better offers then the junk Brooklyn is offering.

It would provide us with the assets that put a lot of options on the table going forward.

Boston had raised the Garnett-Pierce package with a Western Conference team, but very few places, if any, would go all-in like Nets on this.
