I for one hope Rondo is our Wade, Humpries, Lee, Bass, Wallace are our cap space makers for LeBron and Bosh and the draft picks are our Dexter Pittmans and Norris Cole's. If we are banking on a 2018 pick to be good to help our franchise we are screeeeweddd.

We don't want Rondo and Green's expensive contracts for a team that needs to, well, lose.

Rondo isn't meant for a rebuild anyway. Use them to bring in picks and contracts to turn around and trade again.

actually, bass is now completely useless. he has to be next to go. A starting caliber pf, who can stretch the floor, and play ok defense on a medium level contract. You figure you have to be able to get at least a second round pick from a team with money to spend, but no players that want to go there. Bobcats?

Or take on more salary like bass/lee for stinkymakestoomcuh and a 1st.

Sully, Humph, Evans, Crash. Too many 4's, not enough 5's.

IF we want to truely tank, you have to get rid of rondo. Rondo and a team of athletic scrubs can win 30 games. He's proven that at end of years when pierce/kg/allen all sat.

Yup. I see no reason to even wait if until the trading deadline if a team makes a good offer tonight... Ainge moved quickly to trade Perkins when it looked like he was damaged goods, he might not want to gamble that he returns close to 100% and I wouldn't blame him at all.

If a team offers real value for Green, I hate to say it especially with someone with such a cool last name but I'd even consider dealing him tonight as well. However, Green may be the real player to showcase next year and pump up his value before trading him to a contender.

So next year Wallace could end up as the Celtics best player. If this team wins games, all of a sudden his value increases and his bad contract is no longer even considered bad. If the team is still terrible, more ping pong balls with Andrew Wiggins name on them.

Ainge is doing a great job so far with the rebuild.

You just limit Rondo's minutes due to the injury. You legitimately have to do that anyway.

Our grandchildren might watch the next LeBron. We on the other hand are going to go 5 years as the new Toronto Raptors. How long until Rondo asks for a trade?

10 minutes to 10 days.

Expect 3-5 years of poor-to-middling competitiveness while DA shuffles in and out pieces until he can assemble a championship team again. I figure Boston will be winning again by 2018, maybe 2017.

I'm gonna miss seeing Paul and KG in a Celtic uniform. :( Hopefully this rebuild doesn't take forever...

Exactly rondo can easily win you 25 to 30 games by himself. I want us to suck so bad that the nba cannot screw us out of getting the no 1 pick again.

Don't like the Wallace contract, but I suppose this is the best we could have hoped for outside of that. If others are willing to offer more, this is the time to do so.

If you want to be mad at anyone, be mad at KG. I suspect he's been less than helpful in terms of trade flexibility. And I suppose you could be annoyed at the "run it back" crowd as well, since Ainge is probably feeling PR pressure to send Pierce to a desirable location.

Unprotected Nets picks? Yes please. Gives us a chance to put big time talent on an already good team.

KG, Pierce, Terry out

3 1sts, whoever they draft at 22, Bogans, Brooks, Hump, Wallace, Evans in.

That's my proposal.

What are some good fits for Rondo? Pacers? New Orleans? Charlotte? Kings?

Green?

Maybe Utah or Dallas would want JET? Maybe even the Knicks or Heat.

Kg being Kg. lol

@WojYahooNBA: Kevin Garnett "doesn't want to be pressured into a quick decision," source familiar with his thinking tells Y! Sports. Teams want if soon.
