I like Shabazz. Not enough to take him over Bennett. I just know he won't make it past Cleveland. Other than Bennett, Shabazz is the only talent we could realistically land with potential star power.

I think of Bennett as 6'7 Amare Stoudemire, but worse on defence.

In other words, role player material.

I thought Milsap was a decent defender?

Jeff Van Gundy would have picked Beasley over Rose then? Or Derrick Williams possibly over Irving?

Position concerns are a very valid reason to rate someone lower.

That has nothing to do with anything. Irving was clearly the superior prospect to Williams and Rose was the most athletic PG prospect ever (and he was mature unlike Beas).

BOLD PREDICTION: Bennett wins rookie of the year.

The best part about it is that Phoenix has a big chance of landing him either through the #1 overall pick or the team(s) in front of us passing on him!

Bennett & McLemore are, IMHO, 2 best players in this draft. A half-class or more above the rest. Bennett is similar, but way better then Anthony Mason, Larry Johnson... .
Offense wins games, Defense wins championships...

Mike Brown is gonna try to turn Bennett into LBJ 2.0 and its gonna result in a disaster. Plus a Thompson-Bennett front court is incredibly small and if they bring Thompson off the bench wow Thompson was a top 6 pick just 2 years ago.

Getting drafted higher than projected will just make Bennett an even bigger bust.

I take Alex Len over him given the choice
