See, Noel and McLemore went 1 2. They just waited 5 picks before doing it.

Davis and Noel together. That's hard to digest. Do they keep em together? Any chance this causes Davis to become available?

Prince was a hardened senior. You think Porter at 198 can defend Lebron, Melo, Pearce, Joe Johnson, etc? Those guys will EAT HIM UP.

Who cares if he weighs 198 now? You do know it's possible for a 19 year old to gain weight. He's not going to be 198 forever.

I'm sure by the time he's 23, he'll be big enough for your liking. Sheesh...calm down.

Porter isn't going to help us at all this year. I have no doubts Noel will be the much better NBA player in the future.

You really don't believe Porter could give as much as Trevor Ariza offensively off the bench or defensively? He's likely already better at getting others involved in the game than Trevor Ariza.

You don't make top 3 draft picks for the first two months of the season. You make them for the next ten seasons. This was the kind of pick an idiotic front office would make. Not shocking that ours made it. The philosophy behind it is a guarantee for failure at worst, and sub-mediocrity at best. You do not win when you do not take risks, and you never reach greatness when your major F.O. decisions are always based upon tomorrow, instead of the long view (the next decade).

Short sited thinking by a GM desperate to save his own arse. Nice job Ted. With competent management, we might have not made such an idiotic decision.

As it is, if nothing else, Porter won't be a bust, and could attract a FA big man that will cost 25x as much as Noel's rookie deal. Lovely.

Zeller and Len got drafted over him. This isn't just a Wizards issue, everyone is scared away of the knee. You don't take a guy with a knee issue and expect everything to be fantastic for the next 10 years.

The F.O.'s that passed on him are run by the Suns, a team that waited five years too long to rebuild, and Charlotte, a team that's made one or two quality first round picks in the past decade. I give Cleveland and Orlando a pass because at least they selected players that many scouts view as having the potential for greatness and #1 overall talent out of this draft. The teams that passed on him after that, us, Charlotte, and the Suns, have been run off the road and into the ditch for the past near decade running, none of the three are run by intelligent F.O.'s, although Cho has my respect, and Phoenix is at least starting over w/new management.

No way, Davis is a true franchise talent. NO is run by a smart FO (see how they swindled us last year). They took BPA.

No, Davis is a lot better than Noel. You have to build around him. They'll deal Noel if it comes to that.

Ariza is one of the best defender's in the NBA. We all saw that last year. No way is Porter a better defender than Ariza. Otto Porter at 198 pounds isn't going to get PT over him. Martell showed he's a great shooter. I don't see how Porter gets any meaningfull PT at SF with those two playing their vast majority of minutes at SF.

Noel being traded to the Sixers, I guess as Bynum's replacement.

Yeah, I think they give it plenty of time to work.

Edit - at least 5 seconds!

OKC? Makes sense for them to take a chance on the knee.

You guys think will trade for a vet in the second round? EG did say he wanted a vet and we do have two second rounders so there is a possibility that we get a PF who can shoot well.
