Kentavious Caldwell-Pope

Post#1 » by Maker_84 » Fri Jun 28, 2013 12:30 am

Pistons did the pick i really wanted in Mclemore but they were undeserving since they won so many games late in the year. I am happy with this pick though and the team got a true 2 guard with better size than BMAC and just as much shooting skill

Detroit Front Office is down to Cleveland and Charlotte level. We are a joke. What a **** pick, what a nightmare start of offseason. Mo Cheeks and KCP... Can't get much worse than this garbage.

I think KCP is going to be an AS caliber SG, but I wish we got a PG

Trey Burke would have been an awful pick. Him and Knight would never work together because 1) It would be too small of a backcourt to play defense and 2) We already have a PG in Knight

This guy is great at coming off of screens and a great shooter and has good defensive potential I like this kid.

In all honesty, I would've really liked Burke, but this is a pretty good pick, especially considering who was available. I would've preferred McCollum or Burke, but this shows that Dumars is finally putting a premium on players who play set positions. It also shows that maybe the Pistons believe they can get Knight to be better sooner rather than later. And, let's all be honest, it's a much better pick than MCW would have been

Knight hasn't proven he's a starting PG (on a decent team, not a lottery team) in this league. Case in point his switch to SG last season.

Dream Scenario: McLemore Drops.

I know this was kind of lazy. I'll edit later with my reasons.

Needless to say I'm pretty happy with it. I wish we got McLemore but if we couldn't then KCP is an awesome consolation prize.

Lol so mad. So much anger and hasty generalizations. I love pointing out fallacies and debating but this is ridiculous haha.

KCP is a solid pick, the FO and scouts saw something in him in which they put up that smokescreen of MCW/CJM. We didn't even start the season yet, yet folks here are generalizing so quickly. Reasoning is flawed, confirmed from anger. Lol.

Hate the pick right now. Burke was there. Gritting my teeth until the season comes. Really done with Joe, he had better do something special in free agency.

I want no part of Anthony Bennett

I had KCP 5th on my bigboard, and I find it hilarious that back in Jan ppl thought I was crazy to think he'd be a lotto pick!

I wasnt expecting him to be a Piston and am very curious why we didnt work him out. I know Pete must be happy though

KCP has strengths but a lot of weaknesses. Why wouldn't Joe have interviewed him? Not like Minnesota was gonna go out of their way to pick him. I guess he'll stretch the floor with his shooting.
For the first time in my life I realized that I was truly happy.......then I remembered I was drunk.

I wasn't mad...when Bennett and Len was in top six I really though we could've get McLemore, but these sons of bxtches grabbed him before us!!! Solid pick though, we got an athletic kid who can shoot, defend and perhap blossom into a good sg in the NBA

I can understand why people would be disappointed, but I don't get why people are hating on KCP so much. He plays good D, he's got a great shot, he's got very good height for the SG (6'5.5"). What more can you ask? And he's only 20 years old! He's young, has potential, fills a need. It's a very solid pick! And assuming he can man the starting SG spot right out of the gate, we only need a starting calibre SF and depth before next season starts! This was a good night!
