Obviously it's all speculation at this point, but I wouldn't be surprised if Giannis was an attempt to replace Tobias. Except Giannis has way more length, looks entirely more explosive, and seems to actually be able to dribble.

So what should I look for in terms of potential NBA skills during the summer league?

I like the pick but hate the treadmill. I really wish that Ersan and Sanders were moved. I don't think Hammond is smart enough to realize the only reason we won last year was because of Sanders and Ersan.

This team is going to win 35-40 games forever.

Chill out man. Who exactly were you looking for at that pick?

I didn't really have a super strong opinion on anyone. I think this draft is weak. I just don't see how anyone could take this front office seriously when they rave about Giannis. In moments like these, especially, I think you should take what they say with a grain of salt, because they're always going to love who they picked. See: Alexander, Joe.

Heh.

Yeah heard the "we never thought he'd still be there" line with other Buck draftees like Jerry ice Reynolds, Scott Skiles, Tito Horford, Rashard Griffith, etc, etc.

Ball handling, court vision, defense.

FWIW I do not think he's physically ready for the NBA, but he's also the youngest player in the draft by kind of a lot.

I assume 90% of the people will agree with you. We could have one of the best or the worst players in this draft. At #15 it is worth it.

I thought Tony Snell would've been a good pick too. Was hoping Muhammad fell to us as he is another boom/bust player at a larger scale imo.

Uhh, yeah. **** off.

Alright, Luke. I wasn't trying it personal towards anyone on this board. It was just a general comment about some of the posts in this thread. If you can't see why I'd take what Hammond and Drew take with a grain of salt, then I don't know what to tell you.

Can't wait to see Giannis and Henson play together in summer league.

Maybe he meant of the players left on their board?

So we traded Tobias who didn't develop fast enough, and pick a raw 18 year old that probably won't be ready to contribute for about 3 years, brilliant!

Very glad we didn't take Larkin, Plumlee, or someone with little upside. Excellent pick at 15. Really disappointed that we didn't get Schroeder though. Atlanta has drafted 2 point guards I think? Any chance Atlanta is thinking Teague is gone, or they don't plan on resigning him? Would be very excited to get Teague and an up and coming SG this offseason.

DUDE HE SAID **** OFF NOT **** ON.

Just kidding, I actually agree with you. No GM and coach dislike their pick on draft night.

Reportedly multiple teams including Toronto, ATL, PHX, and NY were trying to trade into picks 10-15 in order to take him.

I fully realize this. I don't know why people feel the need to **** on one of the few optimistic nights of the year for fans of this team. We will have plenty of time for this **** during the season. :D

I do not care for the pick, but what was really out there? I am willing to bet there will guys who will do better by far than our pick that went afterwards . That's how the Milwaukee Bucks luck rolls.

Hammond's actually been very consistent as a drafter. He tends to target players who need seasoning but have perceived high upsides. Every one of his picks falls into that mode in some fashion.

It's after the draft when things tend to go all to hell. One might be willing to argue that's when Kohl begins to exert more influence.

ETA - and no that wasn't meant to absolve Hammond for his many GM sins.
Nothing will not break me.
