Tony Mitchell

Deserves his own thread. Athletic stretch floor with high upside that blocks shots. Great pick, possible steal.

This guy is a FREAK!

Question marks about drop in shooting percentage and motor, but I'm happy with a decently high upside, boom-or-bust type player in the second round.

Nice pick. More depth at the three, and he was projected as a mid to late first rounder.

I heard he has a low BBIQ, probably why he slipped.

Hes got great physical tools but I worry about his motor.

Is he a tough guy? We need a tough big or two on this team.

Motor isn't an issue for a back-up/bench guy.

I don't think you give him the first big off the bench spot. He'll have to earn it over JJ and CV. Ideally we'd bring in a vet big man 4/5.

I like the risk/reward potential with Mitchell. Most 2nd Rounders don't do well in the NBA anyway. Mitchell has the potential to be rotational player in the NBA. His athleticism is excellent.
For the first time in my life I realized that I was truly happy.......then I remembered I was drunk.

Defense with him, Monroe and Drummond on the floor just wont be fair. Drive to the basket Lebron, we dare you

That's not exactly setting the bar too high. But if he doesn't, who really cares? The very fact that he's got the chance to earn that spot makes him a great pick at #37.

I like but not loving this pick. He's a nice player but thought Ricky Ledo woulda been a better pick. Even coming off the bench Ledo will be a good scorer in this league. Kinda sad Muscala was passed on too. I liked him alot too. I'm hoping for Archie Goodwin next pick hopefully!

The coaching change clearly had a big impact on him. Get him into a positive situation and with good leadership and this kid could really shine. Mo Cheeks and guys like Monroe should be able to bring out the best in Tony

Best part about this pick is that Jason Maxiell won't be coming back now. Someone give me an AND1 for that!

Good pick. Could have had Burke. I hate this team.

I watched the highlights on him. Looks like he can step back and have some face the basket game. Freaky athletically. Might be another Jerebko, Singler, or Middleton type steal in the second.

Just a question. What makes such a huge separation between Bennett and Mitchell.

Yeah, and he has more upside than all of them.

I totally agree with you on this. This pick was like Joe D moving back into the late first round. He could be a good 6th man for us. I think he compliments Monroe alot when he moves to the C. Good pick.
