I don't know CCJ, Rice was MVP of the D-league last year in the playoffs. He may be more NBA-ready than Porter is.

We get u don't like the Porter pick but that's just nonsense.

I'm surprised CCJ hates the Glen Rice JR pick, NBAdraft.net has his comp of Morris Almond.

He isn't that laterally slow...I think we're going to use him as backup SG I think. If that is the plan, then I don't hate it. That or Ariza will be traded before the season's start.

Maybe he's Beal's backup.

Once again Ted's "plan" proves about as solid as 1-ply toilet paper. Building through the draft, character guys, BS. I was so reasonably content that we didn't get a chance to blow the #3 on Bennett but not happy about getting Rice. Ah well, "That's the reason I'm a Wizards fan."

The d-league is better competition than college is. Its more similar to the NBA than college is. Look, I made my feelings on Porter known, but he's a Wizard and I'm rooting for him. JT3 even said Porter needs to add weight. Rice has an NBA body. He was a statistically great shooter in the d-league.

OK, if Rice works as a SG, I don't hate the pick. But, um, "Goodbye Webster. I really loved what do did here. Hope you have a great career on another team..."

Yeah, because at 26, he's a sr citizen on this squad. I just don't get Ernie or Turd's plan...

The second round was more entertaining than I could have hoped.

People, PLEASE don't get me wrong....I'm NOT a HATER of the GRJr pick.....just upset because I think if we had the opportunity to get WOLTORS and KELLY......I'd go with the back-up PG and stretch 4 along with Porter. We MUST see GRJr as Beal's backup.

I think they will try to unload Ariza before the start of the season. His expiring must have some value. I still think a stretch big was the way to go. Muscala/Murphy. Wasn't Pierre Jackson still on the board too? He' better then Wolters...if we wanted a PG then...wtf.

I think Rice will back up Beal. Webster will still be with us and Ariza will prob get traded. If not before the year than at the trade deadline.

I highly doubt that Glen Rice Jr has any impact at all on what happens with Webster.

I bet we still bring Webster back.

I know I certainly wouldn't let him walk for Glen Rice Jr.

Unless we go on an absolute tear to start next season and are in contention for a top three seed, I think Ariza gets dealt at the deadline. Maybe this offseason?

What are some back up PGs out there we might be able to swap Ariza for?

Also, has Okafor picked up his option for next season?
