This, but I've came down from my pessimistic hangover following the disappointment of them drafting Cody Zeller over Nerlens Noel. Similar to if Anthony Bennett would've been available, Charlotte will get an outlook on how good their team could be with a quality shooting frontcourt player. I have yet to see Zeller shoot with range in actual games, but obviously Cho believes in it, and he's seen more than I have

Ok, I've gotta ask. If you're so high on Noel, shouldn't you be happy your Sixers got him?

I'm very happy that we got Noel, but disappointed that we traded our starting PG in Jrue Holiday only to replace him with MCW, whom I believe will be a bust, with our own pick. It's almost like a lateral move that puts us in reverse if Noel doesn't play lights out going into the 2014-15 season. The future 1st rounder is great too. I'm excited about that, but I would've been elated if Minnesota would've left Trey Burke alone & let him fall to us at 11th overall, because I seriously doubt Portland would've touched him

Speaking of Holiday, do you think we could've gotten Jrue Holiday for the 4th pick and either the Detroit or Portland pick? A Kemba/Holiday backcourt actually seems really intriguing. Jrue's big enough to play the 2-guard.

Holiday/Eric Gordon/Anthony Davis is one hell of a young trio, though. NOLA's got a nice future, but giving up a 1st rounder that loosely protected next year is going to haunt them.

When people look back on this draft, I think the Bobcats will regret taking Zeller over Len, McLemore and Noel.

You know, I'm sure Philly gave us a call if they really liked Zeller that much. They probably didn't offer Holiday for him, but if they were willing to give up their best player for an injured rookie then I have to imagine they would've made a healthy offer for Zeller too. Cho really believes in this kid and is putting his neck (and job) on the line for him.

We shall see.

Philly made the call for Noel once they seen Charlotte & Phoenix pass on him, which was kind of unexpected. New Orleans gave up a offer that was hard to refuse. That lightly protected 2014 1st rounder pretty much put the icing on the cake, knowing that we could've chose whichever PG that fell to us between Burke, McCollum, or MCW. Even if Holiday would've stuck around, we still would've been on the outside looking in as far as the playoffs were concerned & a new rookie head coach. We did a nice job of "blowing it up" I must say. MCW being the future PG on my team kind of bothers me though. It's like draft Holiday all over again, but with more uncertainties

And Philly are getting a former Aussie basketball league as your head coach.

Worked tremendously for us.

Chad Ford's Instant Draft Analysis

4. Charlotte - Cody Zeller

This is, in some ways, a bizarre pick. With Nerlens Noel and Ben McLemore on the board, they take Zeller -- a guy who is going to have to make a major positional change in the NBA. Zeller might have been underrated, but I don't think he's as good a prospect as Noel or McLemore. Once again I think the Bobcats have blown it.
