Reason number four thousand and thirty two why Gil is my second favorite basketball player ever. Speeding with fireworks. Classic. I love the reality show every Gilbert story creates in my head as we imagine what he was about to do with fireworks. 86% chance it was for a kid's birthday party. 97% chance it was indoors.

If both Porter and Bennett are there at #3, and Phoenix wants to ensure them the leftover SG (Mclemore or Oladipo) then would you do....

Don't know if this is legit and it probably doesn't pertain to us even if it is, but....

Vesely and Singleton for Brandon Bass. Come on, Ernie.

Yea, I'll pass. I'd rather just let Ves and Singleton walk then take on Bass' contract. Yuck.

Bass is one of the better spot up shooters at the power forward position in the game.

I'd definitely take him - he's limited and flawed, but fills a huge void.

I also see him arriving in a T-Shirt that reads "Didn't Draft Bennet".

There's other guys who'd be similarly useful.

Aldridge is interested in the Bulls, Mavericks, and the Clippers, acc. to the Wiretap. He'd be a great fit for the Bulls, indeed. I suppose the Clips would have to give up Blake Griffin in any deal, though; that's a tough call. As for the Mavs: is he anticipating pairing up with Dwight in Dallas? Where does Dirk fit into this equation?

Anyway, the fact that players are quick to include the Clips on their short list these days gives me hope that some day - *some* day - a young star will openly declare his interest in getting traded to the Wizards.

I can dream...

If Kabongo goes undrafted, do we bring him in and kick the tires?

Put down the pipe and step away slowly...

Bosh ain't coming here, nor do we want him.

I (along with many on this board) would rather have Patrick Patterson over Bass

Maybe I was a bit hasty, and if so, I apologize.

Not sure a soft Bosh who seems to be on the downside of his career is what we need here.

So... what kind of backup PG can we get for Ariza?

Call the Bucks and offer Ariza + future 1st rounder (minimum top 10 protected if 2014) for Ilyasova? Or take back Gooden's salary? I'd do it.

I'd offer Ariza to them or to Utah in a S&T for Milisap and see who bites first. I'd go as far as top 7 protected to make it work.

I doubt an expiring gets Illyasova.

What about Patterson+Thorton for Ariza+Booker?

Kings get out of Thorton's deal 1 year sooner. That's probably too much value still that the Kings give up.

A pick would have to go with Ariza.

On the Sac deal, they might do something like that to get out of Thorton's deal. We fill our two needs. Makes sense but all depends on if Sacramento is willing to move Patterson.
