And we finish up with a prospect for the 3 slot: James Ennis. 6'5.5" without shoes ("with shoes" is not listed but I'll put him in 1.5" shoes), nice 6'11.5" wingspan and ESPN says he's a terrific athlete.

DraftExpress says he can shoot and defend.

By the way, both Brazilian players look like babies.

Instead of Muscala?

Which is ok, I'm just trying to catch up.

It's sounding like Ledo may have been swapped around 2-3 times already. I swear, with all the trades/rumors going on, it's absolutely impossible to tell what teams are going to end up with. I think there's a good chance we don't end up with Muscala or Ennis by the time the dust settles.

We drafted Muscala with that pick. After we picked at 47, there was a statement on the live ticker that said we got Ledo from the Bucks or 76ers or something. Just trying to figure out how that happened and what we gave up.

As it stands now we have:

Nogueira C
Schroeder PG
Muscala PF
Neto PG
Ennis SF
and possibly Ledo SG.
Plus we picked up Cunningham too.

That's not a bad haul should it be accurate. Lots of assets to stash or bring over as needed depending on how free agency goes. I have good feelings about all of them too. Great night Mr Ferry!

From Andy Katz's Twitter:

Andy Katz (Verified account) ‏@ESPNAndyKatz 8:50 PM - 27 Jun 13

Dallas confirmed it got Ricky Ledo from Philadelphia.

That 8:50PM time stamp is 11:50PM Eastern time.

Sounds like we traded Ennis to the Heat for cash

I haven't seen anything about Neto being traded. Do you know what we got in return?

Ah, I see it now. Neto to the Jazz for a future 2nd.

It looks like the Hawks' haul for the night was:

C L. Nogueira
PG D. Schroeder
C/PF M. Muscala
SG J. Cunningham
2 Future 2nds

Not too shabby, I'd say. I'm real interested to see if we ended up with Ledo. Doesn't really sound like a San Antonio-type of player, but does appear to have more potential than your average 2nd rounder.

Gotta go to bed but I just have to ask, would it be wrong of me to hope for a Ben-Gay shortage - you know, what with how old the Nets are now, and we hold the option to take their 1st next year...

Maybe it is wrong.

I don't think KG will play 50 games next year, same goes for Peirce. and i think both guys are going to be banged up if they make the playoffs.

as for Joe Johnson, he took a big decline last year, i think he is going to take another big decline this year.

the Net will be a good team next year, but the odds of them not getting the injury bug is very very low. and the window for that team is only 1 year, 2 years max.

i'm digging the international picks and i love how Ferry stayed away from the nonathletic, no defense euros with his international picks. Schroeder is 19 and going to be a starter in a man's league in Germany. Bebe is also going to be a 19yr old starter in the second best league in the world next year.

I think Muscala will be sent down to the d-league, but their is a small chance that he will get called up by Ferry like how Mike Scott got called up last year.

Cunningham is a defensive specialist and energy guy like Tony Allen and Avery Bradly, we will see if he becomes useful

anyway, this offseason is not about the draft. Ferry made it very clear after tonight that this offseason is going to be all about the free agents.

OK, after reading this morning (which even the media hasn't caught up with yet), it seems that Ledo went to DAL. There was too much stuff going on last night to understand what was happening, crazy! Someone had commented on the draftcast that we got him, but it must have been one of those "I haven't got my facts together yet" things. I guess I didn't stay up late enough to see us trade Neto or Ennis.

My initial feeling from the draft as a whole is one of satisfaction and hope. I think Ferry did a good job taking advantage of DAL's desire to shed cap and pickup a young player and the #44 pick. Very shrewd move. It wasn't about moving up because that made no difference. I think he and the DAL GM compared notes and saw a way for a win-win with the move. But that had to take some creativity. I'm very excited about Nogueira and Schroeder! Both are excellent athletes and will be great options for the Hawks in the future. Also very shrewd was Ferry to take young talent from abroad that doesn't have to take up cap space should we get the opportunity to make a splash in FA. Overall, I'm very pleased with how things went!

Chad Ford gave an "C" to the sixers for drafting Nikola Vucevic. He gave the wiz an "A" for taking Jan Vesely. He gave an "A" to the celtics for taking JaJuan Johnson. He gave the nuggets a "B-" for taking Kenneth Faried and said that Faried will probably never be a starter. He said he is not confident that Chandler Parsons is an NBA player. He gave the hornets an "A" for taking Craig Brackins. He gave the knicks a "D" for taking Landry Fields. He gave an "A" for the thunder taking Cole Aldrich. he gave the spurs an "+A" for drafting James Anderson. Ford also said that Okafor is better than Howard. etc

.............. i give Chad Ford's career an "-F"

Two thumbs up. Ford has always been garbage.
