I'm feeling something. Something I haven't felt in some time. It's a warm, happy feeling. A happy feeling about the Pistons no less...hmm

I'd be very happy if we got Sheed on our coaching staff. Great coach to the young guys, could keep the locker room in line. I think this would be a very good addition

I hope it works out. Sheed was a best defensively at times. We need that from Monroe. I hope he can mold Monroe after himself.

Excitement over an asst coach? Good lord.

Hope he does well and bring passion into this lifeless young team. Give these kids some toughness buuuut I'm more into seeing what Cheeks can do with these kids

Hope he gets the job. What's the under/over on how long it takes Sheed to get a technical from the sidelines?

Sheed didn't have a motor as a player but the guy was extremely smart all around as a basketball player and had a very good skillset offensively. He was still a very good defender late in his career when his athletic ability left him. He could teach Drummond a lot about positioning for one on one defense. I also find him an interesting teacher for Mitchell.

Sheed was the best communicator we had both on the floor and on the bench. Ben was more of a doer, he'd be all over the place defensively but Sheed was typically the guy calling out and directing traffic. Sheed could also frequently be seen talking to guys on the bench or yelling to guys on the floor from the bench and he has a long history of mentoring players going back to his Portland days with JO & Zach.

He was emotional and at times lacked self-discipline, but was incredibly skilled with a high bball IQ and a willingness & eagerness to both share and teach. I think it's a great move, if for no other reason than to help our young bigs.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not expecting miracles and we are just talking about an assistant coach here, but as far as those sorta things go this looks like a solid move to me. Young enough to relate to the players, but not afraid to call somebody out. He should be a good intermediary.

This team is so bloody bland, Sheed could bring some personality to the squad.

Finally, someone to teach the young ones how to CTC.

Anyone know the record for most technicals by an assistant/
