I would filter the words "tank" and "tanking" so freakin' hard.

Also, hey RealGM, kinda sorta would be nice to institute a search function that works AND an ability to look at prior posts by user by each individual post, not by thread.

Kinda off topic, but kinda not.

Do you disagree that such measures would make RealGM more user-friendly?

You can't filter a team's name. The Boston "Tankers", what else would we call them??

Im actually hyped for Goodwin. I remember coming out of HS he was looked at as a Westbrook type of player. Scouring over videos of him, i can still see that comparison. The problem i have is that he will need plenty of minutes to develop into the player that he can be, and i dont know how he will get that behind Dragic. I definitely put him ahead of Marshall on the depth chart, but still, his minutes will be very very low.

I like the Len back and all but I find it funny that people are saying that McLemore didn't get drafted by the Suns because he wasn't assertive enough and that he was too passive...

Scouting report on Len from NBADRAFT.net: Assertiveness and dominant mindset not yet trademarks, as buttressed by his underwhelming 8.5 FGA and 4 FTA per game ... It should be noted that ankle issues were a common theme during his two years at College Park ...

By adding the ability to filter whatever you want, like a desktop Twitter client.

And by allowing users to look at their post history by individual posts. The search function on this site is lacking big time, and I don't know why. I should take it to the tech support forum.

Thanks for explaining the undrafted player situation.

@RunDogGun: I can agree with you besides the playoff theme. Even with McLemore, man the West is so strong. And apart from Utah, LA and maybe Dallas what team has gotten weaker? Maybe Denver, but they are out of reach regardless. I have a hard time seeing us in the playoffs even with McLemore AND a trade in the offseason.

After watching his highlights that Kerrsed posted, I also agree with the Suns and think Goodwin may be able to play as a PG in the NBA. He seems to be the kinda guy who needs the ball in his hands to be effective and bringing the ball down the court to get to the rim rather than someone else bringing it up court and then giving him the ball.

I can definitely see the Westbrook comparison. If Goodwin can improve his shot and mature a little more, he can be even better than Westbrook.

I also agree with Kerrsed that he needs to be given some quality playing time...he needs to beat out Marshall for the backup job and then hopefully Hornacek will give him at least 20 mins a game or something.

I'm very excited about the Goodwin selection.

I'm still ecstatic about Goodwin
Some fans here and I have always been high on him, even contemplated him at pick 5 late last year.
But obviously when Oladipo and Mclemore's name kept popping up and his stock dropped I was very hopeful to get him at pick 30. (14 if suns got lakers pick)

1. He needs good development especially shooting and confidence.
Maybe give him solid minutes second half of season.

5. Alex Len | 7-1 | 255 | C | Maryland | 20
Alex Len: New Phoenix general manager Ryan McDonough has a massive rebuilding project ahead of him. He starts in the middle, taking Maryland center Alex Len. Despite not making any of the three All-ACC teams his sophomore year, Len possesses an intriguing combination of size (7-foot-1), length (7-foot-3.5) and athleticism (grew up as a gymnast in his native Ukraine). Len is surprisingly agile for his size, with the ability to cover a lot of territory without expending much energy. However, he would disappear for large stretches of ballgames last year (to be fair, you would too if you played with his guards) and he has a high center of gravity, which can allow stronger players to push him off his spot. It will be up to the phenomenal Phoenix Suns' training staff to help him overcome the stress fracture he suffered in his foot – a scary injury for any big man. -Nick Prevenas

29. Archie Goodwin | 6-5 | 189 | SG | Kentucky | 18
The Suns' major rebuilding project continues with perhaps the rawest prospect available in Goodwin. He struggled mightily at times during his freshman season at Kentucky, but he possesses excellent size, speed, and athleticism for either guard spot. He is also one of the youngest prospects in this class (turns 19 on Aug. 17 – youngest American in this draft). His jumper needs serious work and he gets a bit tunnel-visioned in the half court, but the talent is there. If the Suns can be patient in his development, they might end up with one of the top players from this draft in 3-5 years. But if his game doesn't develop, Goodwin might not make it past his rookie contract. -Nick Prevenas

57. Alex Oriakhi | 6-9 | 255 | PF/C | Missouri | 23
The Missouri/UConn bruiser has potential to stick in the NBA as a Reggie Evans-esque rebounder/instigator. Oriakhi is as strong as a bull, and his 7-foot-3.75-inch wingspan and 9-foot standing reach gives him a major advantage in post defense. He is very raw offensively, and at age 23, that doesn't appear to be changing. But if he embraces his identity as a defensive menace, he could have a long NBA career. -Nick Prevenas

Off the Bucks board, talking about having "Greek Scrabble," Henson and Sanders on the court at once.

This draft could have been worse, honestly. I'm hopeful our medical staff will fix Len's foot and ankle issues and Hornacek will fix goodwin's shot. If our other Alex hussels and works hard he could have a place on our team in the future too. I'm excited for summer league play for the first time in a long time.

I'm looking forward to the rest of the offseason.

2. Goodwin can be developed in two ways...
PG/SG = Westbrook path
SG = Latrell Sprewell path

With Len...

Didn't know he grew up as a gymnast... Wow 7'1 with agility...
I'm surprise some thinks he is Ilgauskas part deux, although Ilgauskas was a solid to good center when he was younger... But the only other big man I know who had a sort of gymnastic type agility was David Robinson....
I'm not saying Len is David Robinson but, maybe he can try to outplay his opponents by being really mobile and dynamic instead of getting inside fed all game.

Although I also understand the Hibert comparisons... But Len can be a more dynamic big man... Not just vertically but overall.
