I hope this kid is really a PG. His DX scouting report video is super impressive.

So do we still have Brooklyns 2nd next year that we got for Ledo? Or did we then give that up to get Wolters? In reading the specifics of the trade I'm getting confused.

My understanding is we got 38 (Wolters) this year for 43 (Ledo) and our 2nd round next year. But next year we still have a 2nd from like Houston from the Dalembert trade.

I have zero understanding on how this trade worked.

Guys, we drafted Beno Udrih here.

This was a nice pickup, but as I'm bitching in the other thread, if this team wanted to make a statement that something had changed, then load up the powder and go get Trey Burke as Utah did when he slipped to nine.
Or just draft Ledo, who was probably a lotto pick if he had managed to get on the court during the season
That's the madding point, but you could see he was humbled when he dropped so far because of not playing against college competition. I think Ledo told his buddy, it's about time when he stood up, so he'll come in with a chip on his shoulder.

Here the what Chad Ford had to say about Wolters: The Wizards have traded this pick to the Bucks. I love Wolters; he was the Jimmer Fredette of college basketball.

Just wanted to add that to all the white comparisons. I sure hope Wolters skill set translate to the NBA game better than Jimmer's!!!!!
Just what he needs, a chip on his shoulder.

I don't get the Ledo love at all. He needs to grow uo bigtime, and not to be too cynical, but that seems very unlikely ti me. I'm thrilled we traded him. I like Wolters. Pure scorer and facilitator. If he improves his jumper he could be a very nice player.

According to this (no clue how trusted a source)

http://host.madison.com/sports/basketball/professional/bucks-pick-then-trade-providence-g-ricky-ledo-but-for/article_86b8929e-cfe8-54d2-82aa-ee28e211ed5a.html

We got Brooklyns 2nd next year in there somewhere? I don't mind giving up a 2nd if we also picked up an extra.

I don't even know what that means.

I'm not hating on Wolters. I'm sure he'll be a prospect. I was just happy with Ledo and got home to this garbage.
You're not hating on him? You called him **** in 2 separate posts.

Eh. Wolters isn't a bad pick. I don't think he'll turn out to be much, but I'm not hating on the pick. I would've rather we kept Ledo, though.

You know what, if we traded Ledo for Brooklyns 2014 2nd (which was in Dallas' control) and then sent that same pick to Washington for Wolters that was some good maneuvering by our FO.

I'm still not sure of specifics, but it seems like that could be the case.

eta - nevermind. Dallas had control of 38 also.

Has there ever been a player as good as Penny Hardaway taken in the second round?

Depends on how you feel about guys like Rodman, Tiny Archibald, Willis Reed, Manu, Alex English, etc. I would say yes, definitely, but if Penny had stayed healthy, probably not.

Well I wasn't happy at first, but it's all good. We got a rotation guy.. okay. Wolters is fine, I just see no chance at becoming a starter.

By the way, when Willis was a 2nd rounder, he was still 8th overall. Tiny was 19th overall, English 23rd, Rodman 27th. All would have been first rounders today, with Reed a mid lotto pick.

Yeah its kind of messed up, but from the Bucks standpoint I'm gathering...

In: #38 (Wolters), Brooklyn's 2014 2nd Rd Draft Pick from Dallas (via Brooklyn)
Out: #43 (Ledo), Milwaukee's 2014 2nd Rd Draft Pick

So next year we'll have our 1st round pick, Brooklyn's 2nd Rd Pick, and Houston's 2nd Rd Pick (from Dalembert trade).

Correct me if I am wrong.

FWIW, Both the Brooklyn & Houston picks are liable to be fairly late 2nd round.
