So the answer is pretty much no. :D

The closest things are guys like Michael Redd and Gilbert Arenas.

Goran Dragic was 45th overall.

I think that is a pretty good NBA comparison for him too.

I'll be honest, I like Wolters so much because he looks and plays exactly like My Player in NBA 2K13.

I will apologize to you if he turns out to be as good as Gilbert Arenas.

Personally, I think he won't score 1000 points in the NBA and I will be completely shocked if I'm wrong.

Arenas is a good comparison for Ledo. An idiot with a ton of potential that wastes it because he's an idiot.

What qualifies you to label Ledo an idiot?

Watched some tape and slept on it, I'm happy with the pick. He may not be what you look for athletically but he makes up with it in size and skill(really impressed with his ball handling), I'm not going to put starter aspirations on him but I think he'll make a good back up PG and will fit well with Jennings if we do retain him. Hopefully he can fill that Luke Ridnour role that we've been trying to fill the last couple seasons.

I'm not too upset about not getting Ledo, I thought his upside was intriguing but he has a lot of 'warts' as some might say. More bummed seeing Franklin go two picks ahead of us. I'm not going to freak out over 2nd round picks in a weak draft.

“@cf_gardner: The second-rounder the Bucks sent away in the Wolters trade was pick they acquired from Houston last June in the Samuel Dalembert deal.”

“@cf_gardner: Bucks still have their own 2014 second-round pick, I am told.”

Awesome, could be 20 spots between them in the end which makes a big difference.

So was Ledo involved in the Wolters trade or was that a separate deal?

ETA: nm, see it was the same convoluted transaction with Ledo getting bounced around.

Trouble in high school, academic issues in college, weak work ethic and questionable effort/character. Per nbadraft.net, draftexpress and yahoo.

How I wish I could have seen the look on Jennings face when he saw/heard the Bucks drafted the white PG from South Dakota.

Thanks, that clears things up and make more sense. Trade a late future 2nd for a guy the management liked and was taken 5 picks ahead. Agree that keeping our 2nd next year, which could be very high, is nice.

How Wolters does will depend heavily on his outside shooting. Ridnour has been a natural comp for Wolters. Ridnour's outside shooting hasn't always been consistent, but when Ridnour has been a useful NBA player, he's been a pretty good outside shooter. When he's not turning the ball over or making mistakes and he's making shots, he's useful even without good defense. But if the outside shooting/3-point shooting is low percentage, slow defense and a lack of real-playmaking quickness makes him undesirable.

For Wolters, I think his outside shooting will likewise be critical. The NBA 3 is really deep, and NBA defenders close fast. Will he be able to make enough shots at a high enough percentage to make it work? If he's not quick enough to be a creator offensively, not quick enough to play good defense, and he's not a guy you want taking outside shots, then he won't last. It's harder to shoot in the NBA when he's a bench guy and not a primary scorer, then in college where he's playing all the time and the focus of his team's offense.

I hope he makes it as a genuine quality shooter. If so, I think he can be pretty good.

Nice to see the professor take a break from the And 1 mix tour and get a college education

There are some good videos of Wolters on YouTube, including his 53 point game. He made plenty of NBA length threes in the game.

Here's highlights from the game against Washington that put him on the map. Taking Wroten and Gaddy off the dribble, stripping Ross, etc. SDSU won by 19.
