With the new CBA the salary floor is like 90%, so you still need to have SOME guys on the roster that make money, but aren't good enough to screw up the tank.

Still got Green and Wallace. They are tanking for next draft. Would then have money to use in fa.

HOU makes A LOT more sense! I think something like

Rondo and Green for Lin, Parsons, Asik, Trob, 2014 HOU 1st makes some sense

Rondo
Harden
Green
Motiejunas
Howard

is DOMINANT

and

Lin
Bradley
Parsons
Trob, Sully
Asik

Is a decent rebuild core

Boston wants to rebuild around Green and Bradley.

Hell if Boston was smart they would trade him for the best package of young guys and draft picks available ... No reason to keep him around at this point ..... Don't think the Knicks have much to give tho ..

Pretty much, maybe Novak and Copeland as well but they're going to lose Copeland to FA.

Knicks don't have any trading assets.

I don't know if Rondo would be a good fit next to Harden. Both tend to need the ball a lot

Lebron made it to the finals with that cleveland team.

Bird would have won 4 rings with that team, in this weak ass era of basketball.

Rondo is NOT getting traded while injured, why would Danny sell low? That would be idiotic. He doesn't hurt their rebuild because he won't play until dec/jan anyway.

lawl no way the rockets give them all of that. Plus the Celtics would just hop into mediocrity - that team could even make the playoffs in the weak east

They need a lottery pick in 2014 if they trade Rondo or great young assets and future picks. What do the knicks have? None of that, maybe they take three unprotected 1's 14,16,18 and shumpert.

Well, if they want to guarantee themselves a lottery pick.. Getting JR Smith included in a S&T & giving him the green light is a great way to accomplish that.

I don't see how you get a deal to work with Houston.. I doubt they really want to swap Rondo for Lin.. If Hou was willing to part with Parsons then it starts to make sense.. If Houston went for this I think that means they have doubts about Dwight. In no way is trading for a guy who might not play until Dec-Jan going to be enticing to Dwight if he's all about winning, even if he is a top 5 PG when healthy.. If it wasn't for Kobe's injury I don't think Houston would be getting serious consideration, they don't want to present him with a similar situation where his chances of winning rely on a guy coming back & being the player he used to be. Dwight just witnessed first hand how hard that process can be.

The Rockets don't need a Rondo type pg, they should get rid of Lin and let Canaan do his thing playing off of Harden. They can then just concentrate on getting Dwight and a upgrade at PF.

Boston out

KG -> Nets
Pierce -> Nets
Terry-> Nets

Boston in
Hump
Camby
Felton
Bogans
Q. Richardson

NY out
Camby ->Celtics
Felton ->Celtics
Q. Richardson ->Celtics

NY in
Gerald Wallace
Rondo

Nets out
Hump -> Celt
Wallace -> NY
Bogans -> Celtics

Worked in the trade checker, but I forgot to add terry so it might need a little work. Obviously NY needs to send picks to Boston, but the only way I trade Rondo is to get rid of Wallace or for something equal, better, or potential to be better (high pick next year)
