You don't know when Melky started using PEDs (it could have been before he even entered the majors), nor do you know he's stopped using them now.

It's clear he's been injured most of the year. It takes forever for him to get up to speed and when he does it looks like he'll never stop

Injuries are the most likely explanation for his bad play this season. Both his knees and legs have had significant problems. I'm surprised they didn't do this a long time ago.

Rajai Davis playing everyday usually does not work out very well. His perfect role is as a 4th OF who hits against lefties and replaces Melky in the later innings. This won't end well, unless Rajai has a 2 month hot streak in him.

Melky continuing to play every day in his state wasn't likely to end well either. This would be easier if they had someone in AAA that could hit righties, but Gose is a huge disappointment right now.

This team has no AAA depth. We traded away a lot of kids, but they were still very far away from contributing. Kawasaki might be the most impactful position player call-up we've had in AA's tenure.

Melky must be one of the 20 and why he went on DL, oh well we will find out after ASG.

He went on the DL because he can't move. It's not like him being there is going to shield him from a suspension (if there is one), so that doesn't make any sense.

9. Similarly, IF THOU HAST SPENT the entire offseason predicting that thy team will stink, thou shalt not gloat, nor even be happy, shouldst thou turn out to be correct. Realistic analysis is fine, but be a fan first, a smug smarty-pants second.

Sounds about right.

We could also partner up with the Yankees... trade them Melky's suspension to add on to ARoid's in return for Gary Sanchez. Everybody wins.
