Could we still use a young big like Earl Clark? He's ufa and worked with Clifford in ORL & LA.

I think Earl Clark is a better option than Byron Mullens as a stretch 4 with more versatility, but he lacks the size that Mullens has. I think the kicker will be Clark's market value in free agency. I wouldn't pay over $5 million annually for his services, and even that is pushing it if you ask me

Bucks are saying they'll match any offer for Jennings. Waiting for someone to give him the max.

They are bluffing. I doubt that Jennings would want to sign a offer sheet from another team to avoid it being matched. He wants out of Milwaukee. Him and his agent are likely hoping for the 1-year QO or are going to try to work on a sign-and-trade behind the scenes.

O.J. Mayo is trying to turn a fairly successful 2012-13 season into a big payday.

Via Ken Berger of CBSSports.com, Mayo will not exercise his player option for the 2013-14 season, which will make him an unrestricted free agent.

Mayo had a $4.3-million option next season after signing a two-year deal with the Mavs last offseason.

Mayo, 25, had maybe his best NBA season last year in Dallas, averaging 15.3 points on 44.9 percent shooting and a career-high 40.7 percent from 3, plus a career-high 4.4 assists.

With the free-agent market being a little light on shooting guards, Mayo could find himself as one of the top targets. He showed promise as a secondary or maybe even primary scorer last season and in the right situation could be a prize signing.

We shouldnt pick up anyone. I thought the consensus plan from you guys was to suck for next year.

Depending on the continued improvements of Kemba and the new growth of MKG and Biz it might be too difficult to stay below 30 wins next season.

The team is still so young. Mayo as the primary scorer isn't going to carry the team out of the suck, is he? He shot over 40% from 3PT range and we need perimeter shooting. He has some handle, can create, can facilitate and he spreads the floor. He's only 25.

who i would target for cats now that we have zeller

1. henderson - since we didnt draft mclemore, we need to keep hendo around. of course, dont get stupid by matching a bad offer. hopefully something around 4y/24m is good enough.
2. mcroberts - solid big man who can help zeller transition, while still helping kemba facilitate offense. would offer 2y/6m
3. pekovic - if we make one huge offer this summer it should be to pekovic. wolves will likely match, but its worth a shot. would offer 4y/40m and see if twolves blink.
4. dunleavy - we need shooting, and having more high iq, good passers can never hurt. 2y/6m
5. garcia - 3 and d, backup for mkg. 1y/2m
6. collins - vet leadership in the lockeroom. 1y/2m
7. pachulia - lets see if he is ready to come to charlotte now, 8 years later. 2y/8m
8. speights - worth a cheap gamble. 2y/5m
9. morrow - we need shooting. 2y/4m (bonus he is from charlotte)
10. hickson - if we strike out on pekovic, i would maybe be tempted to gauge his interest but wouldnt go crazy. 3y/21m
11. webster - (see morrow). 2y/4m

In the Eastern Conference I think adding a player like Mayo could easily make you a 7-10th seed and there's nothing wrong with that as a young team but I think we really want to be a part of the 2014 draft lottery before trying to maximize our win totals. I wonder if Cho want to use the Portland and Detroit picks with our own pick to move into the top 3 if we win too many games this upcoming season.

Cho said before the draft we need perimeter shooting. And since we passed on McLemore we still need it. That's why I'd focus on Mayo over Hendo. Then I would wait until Gordon and Sessions expire next year to make room for a S&T for Cousins.

I want for us to retain both Hendo and McBob and then go after DeJuan Blair and Dorrell Wright to replace Diop and RWill.

im not a big fan of mayo for his price tag. i think he is overrated. if hendo wants to be here, i would give him the edge. there is something to be said about building chemistry and continuity when possible.

Henderson's lacks the main skill required for this team and that's a 3 PT shot. He improved but he doesn't sniff Mayo. And unlike McLemore, Mayo is a proven scorer and NBA 3pt shooter. He's a primary scorer on the Hornbobs and a second option on a playoff team. I don't think he will be signed though because they want to tank.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- The Charlotte Bobcats have extended a qualifying offer to guard Gerald Henderson, making him a restricted free agent, but not to center Byron Mullens.

The qualifying offer of $4.2 million to Henderson will allow the Bobcats to match any offer he receives from another team.

The Bobcats decided not to extend Mullens a $3.2 million qualifying offer. Mullens becomes a free agent.

Who is going to even put out an offer we have to match?

Some team will give him 30+ million. I just know it.

I hope so, that would force them to pony up for a floor spacer who can hit the 3 since they passed on McLemore.

The Cats are going to match any offers for Hendo that are not ridiculous if not they would have taken Mac.

Most likely scenario is that Hendo signs a Wesley Matthews- (5 years, 32.5M) or Arron Afflalo- (5 years, 36.7M) type contract.

I don't think we have to worry about a Demar Derozan-like deal.

If another team offers Hendo 4/32 (I can't see any other teams offering any more), I think we match.

On ESPNs top 30 free agents Henderson isn't even listed. Other teams dont value him like we do.
