yeah that's complete bulls pit. People getting to enamoured and overrating our draft pick as usual. Not only can he guard sg's but regularly took on the assignment of guard the opposing teams best wing players which consisted of sg's. where the hell do people get this **** from?

Take a look at the stats and check the game logs. Go check from January 30th to the final game of the season. I didn't check every game, just the ones that popped into my head with a good SG or SF Harkless guarded. I think every single good SG or SF that Harkless guarded shot over 50% and had and/or had about 20 points or had darn near a triple double (Pierce had some bad shooting nights, but had high stat games in other areas). I think the only guy that had a bad night was Stephen Jackson, who had 9 points against him.

Yes, he may have guarded the best player on the other team, but I'm not giving him credit for not doing a good job at it. Most of the players he guarded were that game's high scorers and stat leaders. Look, the kid has some potential, but he's not anywhere near there yet, and I don't expect him to be. He's a rookie who was guarding some really talented players, and he didn't do a good job as expected. We need to be patient. dude is my favorite player on the team probably. But I realize right now he has a negative statistical impact being on the floor on defense, gets way too much credit for blocking abilities based off a some nice swats against Carmelo who torched Harkless on each occasion they met.

Dipo at PG is an interesting thing for Rob to say. Didnt someone mention in another thread that Rob was the force in OKC that advocated drafting Russell Westbrook? Westbrook was also not the PG for his college team, in fact was the SG. Collison was UCLA's PG. Westbrooks sophomore year numbers also match up with Dipos in terms of scoring, but Westbrook had more assists.

Btw, Im not saying Dipo should be our PG. Just wondering if he can play that position and be Westbrook? I thought one of his weaknesses was turnovers, which is not good.

So I wanted to go back and look at mock drafts to see where Westbrook was projected and what people saw him as. I came across this mock draft that exemplifies how totally wrong people can be:

http://bleacherreport.com/articles/3279 ... mock-draft

Highlights:

Beasley is going to be a hall of famer. Bulls were dumb to take Rose over Beasley. Westbrook will be a wing next to Devin Harris in NJ.

Michael Beasley is a hybrid of so many players past and present, and is as much of a sure thing that we’ve seen in the draft since Tim Duncan.

He combines Charles Barkley’s rebounding as an undersized power forward, Antawn Jamison’s versatility and ability to score from anywhere on the floor, Shawn Marion’s explosive leaping and offensive rebounding talents, and Carmelo Anthony’s quick first step and strength. I am not saying what Beasley could become; I am listing what Beasley is right now.

LOL!

I think LA is starting to freak out a bit about Dwight leaving. First billboards, now they do up the Beverly hills. Now I'm sort of pissed the Rockets took our trainer. Hope we get someone new in.

I see this and my first thoughts go to Mclemore. Let me let you all in on a little secret great work ethic will beat talent all day everyday. Give me the hard worker over the highly talented guy with character and maturity issues all day everyday. Hard work + talent= All time great. Talent with no work and you become Beasley.
Fine print disclaimer for Fultz:
I am high on Markelle Fultz. Yes I understand he is not perfect and needs to shoot more and better and turn the ball over less. I would really like to see him play one more year… and I did and he sucks time to move on.

Oladipo was called Michael Jordan, Dwayne Wade, Andre Igoudala, and Tony Allen by professional basketball analysts last night. Ben McLemore was compared to Ray Allen.

Greetings, Clips fan here. What do you think of the following trade scenario?

Magic get: Eric Bledsoe, Nicolas Batum and Joel Freeland

Blazers get: Deandre Jordan, Caron Butler, Tobias Harris, 2014 1st (the worse of Orl, Den, NY picks), 2016 1st Orl (lottery protected) and 2017 Clippers 1st (unprotected)

Clippers get: Aldridge, Afflalo and Leonard

Why for Magic?

1.You put a good, young exciting team on the floor this season. Batum is better three point shooter and defender then Harris.

2.You still most likely have a lottery pick for next season where you will be in the hunt for Andrew Wiggins

Roster could look like this:

PF-Nicholson
SF-Batum
C-Vucevic
PG-Bledsoe
SG-Oladipo

That is a young, long, athletic starting 5. It's a good plan for rebuilding. This trade might need some fine tuning, but I think the 3 teams could make something happen. What do Magic fans think?

its not a horrible trade but we love harirs for good reason, i doubt many of us would say yes but bledsoe/batum isn't a bad haul

clips win that trade way too easily though

Harris is untouchable. 8-)
